Azzbaaa , are you seriously saying that PC will drill 50 oil wells , each one of them a success, no dusters and will produce in excess of 200 BPD from each one ?

Remember, Petro Matad has drilled a total of 18 exploration wells, 1 appraisal well, and 4 stratigraphic coreholes in Mongolia since its formation in 2005.

So far we have 2 wells in production and H2 which is well over budget .That means by , your logic . MATD must have a poor understanding of there own surveys or PC are the best to do any joint venture with

Think everything now depends on JV ,farm in or outright sale . MATD would take decades to sink enough wells at our current success rate to supply the refinery. We may have huge potential reserves but they need extracted to be of use

It’s such a pity we wasted so much time and effort on Heron2 for it only to produce fluids and oil shows instead of going for Gobi as planned .

In saying that at least we have increased our BPD thanks to Gazelle being better than expected

Hi Margaret , sorry it took so long to reply I had to analyse your in depth statement. Having worked in the Nuclear and Power generation industry for many years my problem is not with Sunsteppe it is the assumption that our proposals will be instantly accepted and implemented.

The world has gone nuts for renewables, but the infrastructure isn’t there to cope with the sudden supply of green energy.

National grids need to be updated to cope and if takes time and money. I suppose your in depth reply knows about the protection systems needed to connect to a National Grid, just plug in and go ? No need to update power lines or Transformers and switchgear. Ever wondered why the UK is spending Billions on electrical,infrastructure?

Even MATAD had to wait just to get a simple supply line and transformer fitted for H1.The National Grid in Mongolia will take time and money to be able to cope.But Im sure your knowledge exceeds mine

As for Hydrogen, a nice clean gas to burn , there are problems with Calorific values and bulk storage , but these are so easily overcome hence we all drive cars powered by Hydrogen

Why would an increase in worldwide copper prices be good news for sunsteppe ? The mine may be based in Mongolia but unless MATD/Sunsteppe have shares in RIO tinto it actually increases the costs of manufacturing of electrical equipment that uses copper ?

If the lower than expected fluid recovery rate continues, the well will be shut in for the winter and further remediation options will be evaluated.

Seeing as the acid wash was completed in August and they have struggled to make this commercial ever since, I fully expect the well to be shut down. I mean, its only been 3 months of work over which is way beyond anyone’s expectations, including yours

Azbbba and TBT are just upset that Azbbba prediction of 1000+ BPD and 12p by year end made back in May is incorrect and TBT. BoooooM has not materialised, as of yet
