Thank you for taking time to reply.
I may wrongly be thinking that pill forms if not now but not too distant future can be an absolutely insignificant cost compared to current vaccines (I can get a paracetamol for couple pence).
Postal costs to every home in UK for example would be significantly less than the costs of running surgeries just to jab people and free up many thoughts sands of health care hours for other areas .
There has in many countries been a high acceptance of vaccines, as time passed o would also think that time and a pill would keep or increase uptake.
If "we" wanted to be more sure they were actually being taken then even if it was rock up to a local centre to get your pill it would be less costly and quicker than vaccines .
However, YES I view pills (or other developments) as an Excellent addition to vaccines rather than maybe completely replacing.
No need to have symptoms, issue pill to every single person.

Can you enlighten on why any future pills and there roll out will not be given to the categories you note?
Also, IF "only" given for more serious conditions then surely even with a constantly mutating virus that still sees by far the biggest issue of this or any virus dealt with i.e. minimise deaths and hospitalisations!?

Can greatly speed up and improve efficiency of any future "protections from virus" program.
Even if it is a hand in hand program with vaccines and other medications already helping reduce death rates as widely reported and any future developments.

A vaccine only program is time consuming, costly and extremely difficult to carry out if we are to see an annual (or other regular period) roll out.

Side note: As with most of this period Scotland announced more restrictions than England today
At this stage hopefully nothing too damaging to people's wider health and economy.

Comedy club been busy over weekend I see.
Got booster today, seems I just got in before the stampede.
Great news tonight seeing the huge push on boosters. Do this and shows for worst case in future what can be achieved in few weeks (1m jabs per day in UK) we should never fear virus again :-)

Cinemas are profitable some way below even 50% capacity, BUT that means every single movie and screening as an average. If for example Spiderman is full to near capacity, but all other movies and screenings are empty or near empty then it's a different picture (far from saying any of this is what is happening, but focus should be wider than the couple bigger films each month).
Good to see few regular posters finally admit it is the US box office our main focus should be on :-)

SMQ, Maybe a better example for me to note would be smoking. You can still smoke should you choose, but no longer kill me and others by YOUR choice i.e. banned indoors.

You seem to have trouble understanding that in life sometimes we do "the right thing" not because it directly benefits ourselves, but because it benefits many others around us.

5 years to 2019 average for December c. 1.2bn (domestic I e. North American market).
I will be VERY pleasantly surprised if box office hits 90% of that.
FANTASTIC if it does or even near, not expecting it personally.
It's a big ask I'm basically two weeks takings from admittedly what looks promising for an absolutely mega movie and c. 3 other strong performers (not as if it is first December in history with one of if not THE biggest grossing movie of year by far).
Springboard for next year and as noted by others the next big step to give confidence across the pond and get attendance numbers up like we have seen in UK.

Would it then be fair to say COVID-19 is highly unlikely to mutat so that it is both more transmissible and more deadly while also outrunning medical interventions (vaccines and their updates, pills etc).

I will admit I am a little under weather just now so not thinking completely clearly.
However, if as long-term holders we all still believe in the research we have done and the long term company prospects is it not better we "let" the shorters accumulate the size of positions?

That way when the outlook is without doubt, company fundamentals kick in and long-term holders put pressure on and institutional buyers come in the pressure will be far more as it will be a far bigger number of loaned shares the shorts jist can't get hands on to buy themselves out??

...and what then was NHC reason for shorting at similar price point ages back!?

Scientists/virologists have already stated it would require in the region of 90 changes to the virus to fully evade current vaccine. There are 30/32 I think noted.
Without doing their full ass covering (takes time to study the virus mutations) they have also noted that current vaccines especially with boosters is still likely to give cover (even good cover) on this variant.

Mutations/new variants will continue to occur, BUT in time it will be seen as no more than another covid/flu/virus (thought this likely to be during 2022/2023 for Europe/US)

Viruses mutate - we have known this for some time and COVID-19 is not somehow immune from what viruses do.
When they mutate they tend to do so in ways that make them more transmissible - again we have known this for some time (if you never previously knew this then during this Covid-19 two years you should have learnt it as it's been covered to death).
HOWEVERY- with these mutations they also tend to become less deadly (again this is info widely reported for some time).

Think for a moment - what good is a virus that is both very deadly AND transmissible. In a short period of time it would effectively kill itself off as nowhere to spread itself.

South African latest variant (mind we had one before along with Kent variant last year and same panic and at times misinformation)
UK goverenment is slowly learning from those and then the Indian variant to take action early AND we also have good vaccine coverage we previously didn't.
For Cineworld it's not limited to UK, or EVEN UK and USA we do want most of developed world to remain largely operational as studios want/need certainty and worldwide releases.
So yes some concern, but on balance at this stage feel we should still be good (much better than a year ago anyway).

Back to my granny nap awaiting specific news/or £1+ SP whichever comes first.

Bonkers once they start showing those speciality movies we are sure to get a rise, and if not then we have Matrix next month and with the blue pill AND the speciality movie showings then if still no rise we are in serious trouble.
