The reason for recent days lower vaccine numbers in England was explained at today's Scottish government update.
Scottish government have been getting some flak for appearing to trail England.
The reason was explained that Scotland had focussed heavily on care home residents initially and have done over 90% of those now, whereas it was 50 something% in England.
England have apparently shifted some focus into their care homes in recent days and hence their apparent slow down while Scotland has speeder up.
Care home resident vaccinations are VERY disproportionately slower than the wider public.
Both should balance out and roughly on track for Feb 15th target.
Was also noted that Pfizer vaccine supply changed and although still the same overall quantity expected/scheduled for between now and end next month less of that was coming this month and more coming next month.

Well done holding strong with your Cineworld investment.
Off course we could all have moved money around and made it work harder, but that too could have gone wrong.
I feel the Cineworld board are very strong and we'll lead by Mooky.
Patience should pay off pretty handsomely for us all.

If we can hold above 68p into close today (1 hour to go looks promising) we have potentially an important test tomorrow.
The highest low price in days trading since last June is currently January 8th at 67.3p.
We have failed to hold above 68p for full day since last June.
Tomorrow should give us opportunity see if we can break through and as Robin says the next test is at 72/73p from what I can remember.

Vaccine STILL doesn't "cure" it.
I am pleased also to see UK roll out going roughly to plan.
You earlier anticipated higher numbers for today's update on those vaccinated, but infact it's another lower level day at c. 200,000 added having been well over 300,000 couple days last week.
Expect we will have daily fluctuations.
So po g as trend is up and we are doing 300k plus more often.
Agree good to see new infection numbers drop, but we must not yet ignore that deaths are crazy high (highest ever today).
So, you may call it pedantic, but I call it being fully open and honest of picture :-)

You have mentioned those guys far more than me last couple days ;-)

I think most of us can relate to your frustrations.
Worth noting that as we stand currently today's low with the exception of Jan 8th is the highest we have seen since June!

What is your gripe with NOFEAR in particular?
You constantly have a go with no provocation.
This morning you criticize him for saying stuff on HOPE.
Then you produce the below that is unsubstantiated guessing at reason for trades and HOPE for higher SP later in day.
As of now completely wrong.
Nearly all here want a higher share price at some point going forward, when and if those relevant higher prices will be none of us know as yet.
So it's varying degrees of "hope" for us all.
"I always look at the smaller sell trades and see the £300, £450 and £200 lumps of sells where folks are taking their profit - well done them. However the buys out way the sells - so I expect the share to tick up mid morning once the crowd above have taken their winnings.......looking at a good day I think here"

Crumpets as I understand they are burning that per month.
Seems they are limping month to month with c. $100m new financing each time.
Or at least seems that way.

Or as zstarz summaries better - GREED.
Though if I was as some of them are right now I wouldn't be too worried about holding a £2+ short.
I would feel safe I have time to alter/close position still in profit for a time yet.

The 16p was very brief, but more in general I take your point. There was reasonable period of mid 20's.
Without looking back in detail one reason may have been availability of shares to buy to close out positions.
Also possible greed, same as us that to long and may miss out on the absolute high point.
There was then still strong levels of uncertainty and prior to the new Financing agreed late November it was a possibility the company would fold.
We are still in the pandemic and company does have a lot of debt with as yet no certain timeframe for return to first income generation and then secondly profitability.
So for those with £1/£2 + shorts even now standing at 68p they may for now still view risk reward as ok.
That may change very quickly on vaccine roll out/re opening dates/ Jangho further significant increase in holdings.
To these funds remember Cineworld will often only be a small element of their full holdings and strategy..
They may be happy to go all or bust with it while uncertainty (though arguably reducing) is still there.

It's the reason why we have not and very possibly won't for a period seen a short squeeze as many predicted (yet)
Some are likely in at £2 +
Some at £1+
And few others high 70's/80's
Where we have stood and maybe even currently stand then a decent case could/can be made for many of these emotionless investment machines to take the positions they have and not yet panic.
New Holland are THE stand out from that, they may yet follow similar to whitebox in attempt to rescue themselves by averaging up , otherwise they do face making that decision to cut losses.
The others are all still likely in decent profits.
Unlike former "experts" of this board shorting at 30p rather than 80p, £1, £2 ;-)

On the back of zstarz mentioning Marshalls reduction and previous chat I thought it worth a bit of a look.
So, currently via short tracker website I note shorts at 9.7%
This is what derampers go on about all the time and as I have said previously that in itself says little.
Tenke at 0.98% first noted 0.56% on 25/6 sp range that day 66 - 75p!
Adelphi at 1.12% had 1.02% again 25/6 and increased next days to 1/7 with SP range over period 66 - 85p
Jericho at 0.75% had 0.58% dating back 8/6/18 sp clearly MUCH higher.
EMS 0.88% had 0.71% from 19/1/18 again MUCH higher SP.
White box at 0.91% have been averaging position up (same as us longs AVE down) since 16/12 when held 0.51%
Marshall at 0.58% have traded in and out fair bit and held 0.5% as far back as 27/12/17 so again MUCH higher SP.

New Holland are about the only "current" ones in reality and currently down about 10p/share.
