If they strike oil on the first drill 35-50p imo could be a lot more of course as it derisks the basin, if they hit oil on the biggy wild horse then yes we are talking pounds and a 20 bagger, most investors will take a position here at some stage it’s too big to risk not doing and if your going to buy before the first drill then now is probably the time to do so at the placing price, as don’t forget there is usually a 5-10% commission on buying placing shares. The placing was a kick in the teeth for investors who bought higher but guess the price is now at a 4 month low there won’t be many sellers or flippers

I don’t do calculations just my feeling could be higher if sentiment and momentum kicks in before wildhorse is drilled. If they both hit oil then yes it’s a huge story £1 billion mcap easily with the amount on their acreage and they own 100%. The potential has never been in question it’s bigger than anyone could imagine if the oil is found little Matd will have one of the largest oil reserves on earth right next to China onshore. I will def be buying at some stage I wouldn’t be posting if I wasn’t interested, you don’t need to love a share to trade it Matd will always make you money if you trade it properly potential sells always has always will and Matd has biblical potential no question

The main thing with matd is it owns 100% and has 6 wells fully funded, if they do strike oil then my god will it fly it’s all about gambling at the right time. If the first drill hits honest opinion is that is derisks the other drills to some extent and also the basin. If they hit on the first drill expect about 35p as they then move onto the monster that is wild horse that is the juicy one. So the option is buy now around the placing price and take a chance on them hitting the sweet spot, or buy after for wild horse. No doubt this is the biggest drilling campaign on Aim for many years that’s never been in question but there are multiple strategy’s to take. Buying half a position pre spud in case they hit oil before wildhorse is a strategy a friend has just told me he has taken

Mr P look at the trends of oil drills recently, they have nearly all dropped on spud and treaded water during drilling. This huge placing has killed any chance of a rise before spud imo. Hense the most profitable play imo is to buy on the big drop if the first well is a duster what’s the COS 25%? And buy in for the pre spud rise for wild horse after the duster drop, a few investor friends of mine have the same strategy this placing was horriblely timed for anyone wanting a pre spud rise on first drill that’s just reality unfortunately

Agree Mr P, I don’t think there will be a rise into the first drill, odds are that they will miss and hit a duster with the first drill as the COS isn’t very high it’s wildcat drilling after all and the price will fall considerably if they hit a duster so the play for me will be to buy in that drop for the larger of the drills wild horse, best of luck whatever your strategy but even when I buy Matd I won’t trust them fully, you fool me once them shame on you, you fool me twice then shame on me, but 5 times....

Mr P, they told the market they had hit oil in 2010... it was all water in the end, they told the market in 2015 they hoped to drill, didnt happen, 2016 they said they were going to drill they cancelled it, 2017 they invited death spiral finance provider Bergen to destroy the price.... and they said they would drill again then they cancelled it again. 2018 they did a placing at 6.5p Mike says hopes to mobilise rig in late March... then they have VISA delays, then just as they are about to drill they do the largest placing of $18m. I think the above are good enough reasons not to trust what Matd say Mr P imo

I agree Spanish we live in a bubble here in the UK, Business is not done in the same transparent manner, Matd needs an independent CPR imo low share volume so far today think many investors will now wait to see if the first well misses think it has a 25% COS from memory? If that comes up dry it would be a good trade to buy in on the drop for the wild horse drill imo that’s my plan anyway placing flippers should have cleared by then too, not much point buying now

Some great posts by Spanish on here, ppl just don’t seem to take into account that this is Mongolia, they don’t take into account last time they drilled block XX they hit water, and Matd has no independent CPR so the oil volumes is just what the company tell us... with matd it’s always about whether you believe them or not and history tells us they have let investors down on numerous occasions, this imo is a trading share only with any pre spud rise now not possible unfortunately all imo

Going on today as I said would happen yesterday, an $18m placing is one huge overhang and has basically stopped any hopes of a pre spud rise. Decided not to take the placing at 10p as I think it goes sub 10p over the next few weeks. A know a few on twitter took the placing some turned it down due to matd history of screwing investors over, sentiment is definitely against it atm unfortunately

Lol who do you think buys placing shares? Institutional investors doesn’t mean Barclays have bought, lack of understanding is staggering, I’m sure ppl were saying it wouldn’t fall below 11.5p... this will hover around 10p for a long time until the placing shares have been flipped unfortunately those locked in higher May have to gamble on the wildcat drills

That brokers were offering this placing at 10p in large amounts and lots have bought, why would serious investors buy in the open market when they will have bought the placing if they wanted Matd shares.... crazy to buy this above 10p when all you needed to do was contact your broker, can see this sub 10p at some point today

If you think this will open at 12.7p you are dreaming beyond belief, that would give the placing flippers a 25% profit overnight! This is a huge placing Mr P at a 25% discount after they announced they were fully funded, why not place after the first 2 drills if they are confident of hitting oil.... teathersapp may offer some again let’s see its huge dilution that’s for sure

Could drop below 10p that’s the risk either buy the placing or wait, it’s getting absolutely slaughtered on twitter, the after hours rns is very naughty especially when they said they were fully funded then go and do such a huge placing at a 25% discount but as I always said Matd can’t be trusted and I hve been proved right time and time again year after year

Do you know what a broker is? Lol you don’t buy a placing for more than the placing price the price IS 10p and lots will be buying it up ready to flip for a nice gain, bad luck if you can’t get any 10p placing shares but there is plenty of stock around

It hit 7p last time so within 8% of last placing price, think I will take some at 10p for a trade like lots are doing

I would assume the main issue now is will this be suspended on 30 June. If GR doesn’t get the final results out by the 30th June this gets suspended, I fear never to return if it is suspended. I would be asking him to commit to a firm date for releasing them seen as though he messed it up last year and prem was suspended. EGM needed asap here
