Mr P told me petrovis bought 56m from this most recent placing, is that correct yes or no? No discussing this anymore it’s painfully embarrassing

You say “As at 17 Apr 2018....Petrovis held 27.81% (141/525) from company website.” Then you say they bought 56m in the placing which is about 35% of the placing .. so that means 56m shares gives them an increased holding of 2% according to you???? Mathematically impossible

Wow Mr P lost a lot of respect for you now if you can’t work out basic calculations that petrovis did not take part in the placing, simply email Mike and ask him in that case if you can’t grasp the figures

But they bought another 56m in this placing apparently so whichbis much more than the 25% dilution incurred? So if they bought more than 25% of this most recent playing how can they end up with 13% less holding? I truely staggerd ppl invest money and can’t do basic calculations or research on the share they are invested in, Mr P you need to acknowledge your error ASAP

No they didn’t Mr P, on 19 jan Petrovis and certain of their concert parties, Enkhmaa Davaanyam, Oyungerel Janchiv and John Henriksen have irrevocably undertaken to vote their shareholding of 141,296,080 Ordinary Shares (42.4%) in favour of the Resolutions. this was BEFORE the 19 jan placing shares an additional 51m were admitted. Petrovis did not buy any shares in this $18m placing, I thought you were smarter than this Mr P come on do some research, your article is incorrect email Mike if you can’t understand it

Come on MR P your smarter than that, that number 142m was before they took part in the Jan placing, do the maths mr P they can’t buy 51m shares extra in the placing and then hold 13% less than they held in jan can they it’s impossible

Btw they held nearly 40% before the last placing diluted their holding so how come they haven’t launched a takeover for the last 8 years when they were over 30%??? Are you saying they have been breaking the takeover rules since they listed Matd on aim?

Mr P, there has just been an $18m placing you have to understand how this will affect the price. You told me that the main Matd shareholder petrovis took 50m shares in the placing... they didn’t take any shares in the placing. Hardly fills an investor with confidence if the main shareholder doesn’t buy shares at a huge discount a few weeks before spud, sentiment is gone here after that placing especially with no backing from petrovis

And the main matd shareholder didn’t even take part in the raise... speaks volumes really about their confidence levels going into this drill that they had to raise such a huge amount and don’t even feel confident enough to take part themselves...

Staggering really, this action group sounds more like a group to convince dissatisfied shareholders not to act rather than act, who is running it... I would be very suspicious of the wolf in sheeps clothing an action group forces action and needs a strong leader not a softly softly approach

I think you are underestimating sentiment, it has gone from Matd after that placing, they said they were fully funded then diluted every private investor by 25% at a big discount just a few weeks before drilling, for it to get to 18p volume needs to be huge to clear that huge placing overhang unfortunately and Fridays volume was woeful, also just a point to note that most oiles drop in share price on spud its pre spud where money is made and due to the placing this has now been taken away, hense traders are not buying this because there is no trade just a gamble on the drills hitting oil

I agree Starbuck this placing has completely ruined sentiment for Matd and trust has pretty much gone now with private investors and that’s a big big problem when the mcap will be £70m after the placing because there will be no momentum and sentiment as they start to drill so investors will have to gamble on a 20% COS oil strike so a 1 in 5 gamble. If they miss sentiment will be rock bottom. The reason they did this imo is because they are terrified to drill and miss and then have no cash left, I think there will be one more nasty surprise for private investors to come hense I will no be buying pre spud as I don’t think there will be any pre spud rise, too many flippers poor sentiment and no trust now which is such a shame but you can’t place $18m a few weeks before a drill and not expect private investors to lose confidence

Of course it will be cancelled if they get farm in partner to pay for the drilling costs that’s the whole point of a farm in partner, petrovis may still take their allocation but I would imagine the rest would be cancelled as no need for it, petrovis wouldn’t dilute their holding if they didn’t need to. Never forget Matd is the national Mongolian oil company in effect this doesn’t operate like usual aim companies they will do what is best for Mongolia and Petrovis who basically own Matd an important point many ppl miss. Why make the share vote 3 weeks away? That’s much longer than usual, and why did MB mention farm in before July... why is July mentioned... it’s a warning shot to forward sellers to say look if we get a farm in it will be before July so if you start selling borrowed shares that you don’t own you could be in big big trouble, if they announce a farm in I will invest 6 figures here as it’s guaranteed money if these forward sellers hve to buy back. Just an interesting sub plot to the main drilling action I guess. 8 years in the making and it’s finally happening next month even I can’t ignore the fact they are finally going to get the drill bit turning and about time too

Would be a few forward sellers with brown pants if this did happen, why did MB make the following statement “As there are still a number of interested parties, the Company does not rule out bringing in a farminee, if on favourable terms, prior to the commencement of drilling in July 2018.” if this happens there will be some very sore backsides as anyone selling now is selling borrowed shares they will need to buy them all back in the open market if there was a farm out before 4th July. I would love it if MB did this proposed placing as a bluff to get better farm out terms and then cancelled the placing 3rd July is actually quite a long window for shareholder approval it’s definitely got me thinking why the 3 week window before the placing vote as until then the placing is not valid and no shares will be issued, watching with interest atm

Mr P totally agree most folks have not experienced a play like this before, this isn’t a one off drill hoping to hit in a small license area. This is effectively the Mongolia national oil company listed on the UK stock market. If Mongolia does indeed have anything close to what China found over the border Mongolia will be an oil producing nation to rival the best. Matd will snap up all the options they have over even more acreage and investors now will be millionaires. That’s the fairytale ending anyway obviously fairytales don’t come true very often but if this one does they my goodness it will be huge. The additional acreage Matd have options over is huge so any strikes in this drilling campaign will open the whole story up, now they need to deliver operationally to prove to investors they can do this

If by some miracle they managed to complete a farm out before the placing is voted on 4th July, then I assume they would cancel this placing as they wouldn’t need it. All those that forward sold would have to buy the shares back... risky game forward selling when there is potential for a farm out however small MB comment that there is a chance of a farm out before July is interesting maybe just a warning shot to those who are forward selling.

No I’m a trader, who knows what it would hit on a strike impossible to call really due to matd potential it could go crazy I will admit that
