Difficult question tbh. I could pull out a random number but I won't lol.
Most important for me is finding a stock I believe is undervalued, time the entry(ies) as good as possible, having a target price and beyond that how long it takes is largely sentiment driven.
To me a target is purely a 'sensible' value all things being equal and so will always require re-evaluation. The market generally doesn't value with sense. Look at Tesla.
So as things stand I don't intend too sell until I see all orpst of the upside I expect (as I say, provided no material change in target).
The hard thing is patience over time.
I've seen several stocks I like multibag while I've been holding RMM and averaging down.
It used to bother me but honestly if I've learned anything there is almost always another chance or another opportunity.
Always best to try remove the emotion where realistically possible.
