I suspect many PIs will be waiting for the new ISA allowance in a few days which is likely to see an influx. Also the majority won't understand the mechanics of an SOA so may view this as binary and high risk still. I must say, when you read "Court allows Scheme" rather than "Court allows Scheme Vote" its rather helpful.

I would say the patient has been stitched back up and sent back to the ward. The heart transplant itself has gone well and the donor was a good match, so the signs are very positive as long as the organ isn't rejected. I agree with Timmy wholeheartedly. Disgruntled customers will vote no the the scheme. There won't be anything like as many of them wanting cash, but the statement isn't untrue. I predict a vote in favour of around 80%

ISA- imo the biggest risk was the FCA opposing it then followed by past customers being weighted too neglibly versus existing customers. This is a shoe in if you just think big picture but the minutai and ins and outs won t feel like it. JPM and Bybrook had the insight of where this would head an nowt has changed. By autumn this ll be 50-70p

Perhaps Gazza but you present a rather bearish assessment and I don't agree with it - sorry. I would suggest that lending is typically at its most intense after a recession as people borrow to reinvent themselves, and Covid is unique with pent up demand for all sorts of stuff including lending. Its more Amigo than the market that has changed, as you will see more products with Monikers like "credit builder plus" and such stuff which will be very popular as people want to build up and get access to mainstream credit. I would overall strongly disagree that the FCA will limit Amigo to an extent that it can't do good business. They are about balancing the needs of customers with the needs to support the economy as per the Woollard report. We may see a need to put money aside not just for the complaints but as a buffer should this happen again and so there are ways to limit us. Its a big old world out there and the W report has already identified 10-12M adults who are "sub-prime". Even a slither of that pie is massive. Do the numbers.

My Christmas messgae was not too far off the mark - To make the vote work in Amigo s favour they will approach past customers that havent complained and offer them 20p in the pound versus existing complainants and what they thought they d get. I know if i got a letter saying we re giving you 800 quid but you need to vote yes or get nothing, which way i d vote. Therefore chill folk as any exisitng complainants voting no will be outnumbered by the proactive shout out by Amigo.. SOA is a game of cajoling the sheep into the pen. Slam dunk IMHO. Nepalese kids don't see their families for 8-10 years cos the villages are too remote from Katmandu to get back to and the earthquake didn't do transport any favours. Even an outright no wouldn t see a collapse to 5p as GJ will immediately counter with plan B. Why a no cannot happen. The court is there to effectively arbitrate not force a company to liquidate. Not even the FCA is looking to do that. Worst case then, the balance is wrong and the SOA is delayed for another 2 months whilst its parameters are reset and a new date set. And why that won t happen. Treating Customers Fairly. Can t just leave them hanging so an expeditious end is needed. THIS IS NOT A RUBBER STAMP JOB. Anyway good omen is i went to the same school as the judge and i say it passes the court hearing lol
