I agree lending will start Q1..just think we need to see what the volume looks like and what are new borrowing facilities afford us!

Thats what i think Bluesky..lending will help sp but actually it will be solid quarter or two that allows the city to see stability and have confidence to buy for their portfolios and clients if they see a dividend is likely in 2022. I think 30p by spring and 70p by this time next year as we wont go feom 0-60 that fast..

Dont patronise me just cos you disagree iknownuffin. These things sadly always take longer than everyones conjecture. Beaides which why does 3-4months seem so unreasonable? Getting decent sources of funding rather than what we have will take MC a while to organise so even if we start lending before then it ll be very pragmatic and lower scale without the FCA s final findings reported and knowing what they ll fine us. What you think of as proper lending will take a good few months of build up as all the ops processes, the reporting dashboards, the risks controls all need updating and reilience tested. Sorry if you feel thats so terribly out of sync from your ramping mutlibags by christmas narrative-))

Relending before Christmas?? Give it a rest. FCA won t complete their assessment until spring. We also have another lockdown in feb/march. If i was a betting man i d say that we ll be relending end of q1 or start of q2.

Funding wont be an issue as we have nt defaulted and looks less likely we will. What we DO need is more sources of funding as we re reliant on one partner which is no good. There is a lot of money out there that needs to be put to work and the confidence will be there as the legacy issues are resolved. It more about the deal we command.

Counter intuitive is a nice way to put it Davidhos! Because shares especially like this one with MMs playing the army of PIs will wrong foot us at every turn possible. So i always think what will get weaker holders to sell. Answer. A dip for a week where we lose 2-3,% a day. Theres your 8 or so p around the 20th. Following week we get some bad numbers but with a silver lining and you ll see 12-13p immediately. Retrace back to 8.0ish pence as we move toward the update and then either back to 5-5.5p or from 8ish up to 14-15p seems likely to me. Hang tough.

By the way...the other reason not to lend is because the facility is getting short extensions. The new FD gets to sort out other sources of funding to give stability. Further, it is wrong to beleive that we can t see significant uprise without lending. As long as the complaints has peaked and collections remain robust then night follows day and the MMs will price some of the lending restart into the SP in full knowledge of what Q1 will bring. Expect a projected timing in the update.
