BMW et al are buying in batteries until the price of lithium is lower also I think german auto worried about stranded assets they are still pushing diesel.They will not be building giga factories personally I think they could miss the boat elon has showed the way and they do not like it.I think they only want to compete at high end leave the proles have diesel and choke???

I think mercedes has given up the ground with large electric trucks in USA TESLA has knocked them hard in this area.They cannot make the batteries cheap enough they watch the balance sheet to closely and failed to invest.Also being sure that customers would stay with them no matter what?they we shaken when the running costs of tesla truck had customers signing up in the hundreds also Nikola also been sunk also cummings in deep do do long term but at least they are investing in electric as they do not want to be servicing shrinking market.VW has missed the boat I think they are going to let the koreans build the batteries untill price of lith comes down.Also a little matter of $15 billion fine .

Yes I agree china is running ring around west.One city in china got 14000 electric busses for gods sake miles ahead of us.In 10 yrs they will control all renewable energy manufacture.So question is where will the over supply happen.Lithium supply going to be tight untill 2022.Tesla must be scrambling for supply to thier truck building I would have thought.Looking on it my thinking is 3 years behind china they are going to completly dominate supply the west do not get it at all.????
