Wow Just seen september car numbers for USA TESLA outsold porsche and jaguar on medium size luxury segment.TESLA 83500. Porsche 65964. Jaguar. 41940.This is just the start , production of tesla increasing traditional car makers frozen out of market where is the lithium coming from?????? Battery shortage in wider market this is getting painfull for ice cars I say buy buy buy lithium shares

I saw a very interesting presentation about shorting EU car manufacturers.If TESLA launches model 3 in Eu early 2019 and has same effect in eu as in usa the sp of these will be under pressure and maybe opportunity there.As of now no eu car can accept supercharging and that seems to swing sales in usa.Eu better step up or tesla and china will wipe the floor

I think chinas strategy is get into chosen market then sort out quality as market share increases.That seems to be the way they moved into E.V commercial market(busses).

TESLA build the gigafactory in china to get round the import taxes.Also the only company ever to build with no chinese partner making sure no tech is transfered to china as they do not give a dam about patents.

Do not forget some car manufacturers are delaying orders because they cannot squeeze supply they try and put pressure on and are told politely to f*****off supply is so tight now and revolution has only just started the J curve will go exponential when supply is sorted about 2021 my guess but the big unknown is how fast is it accelerating could be a nice surprise soon?

Elon musk sold a 129mega/watt/hour battery to south australia about 7 weeks after commissioning a major power station went down.The battery kicked in and kept south Australia running for 40minutes it was not designed for that level of power but coped with overload no problem.Everyone now takes notice of batteries cheaper than peaker plants

Smack on I have solar panels on my house and they kick out 4.6kw at max.eveything is running for free as most of time house uses less than 1kw.so when I saw cables were sized at 1.5k if you had gas that surprised me mind if you have a hundred housed on estate overall it will not make a difference if charged overnight as there would then be plenty of margin.that is all I wanted to say so call the dogs off please.

OK I did not know that they sized the cable to the number of houses on estates.I thought it was an off the shelf job but the figure of 1.5kw caught my eye that seems very low if so some estates have no margine for ev???.also I am invested here and have been for months average price .168 not huge amount but still I am interested party.

Thats a very interesting post so I would say that the goverment push to ev is bull.Is that cable spec just used for a very small% of housing or more General if so power companies in do do.Smoke and mirrors comes to mind here want to sell more power but in reality shite infrastructure????
