It's the Chinese proccesors that are buying in. They have to supply all the big battery factories in China. There is a huge step up in production for these factories and keeping supply is no small thing. It's a national thing not a individual company thing.

Vw are caught between a rock and a hard place. The OEM normal supply route is to tender for supply hook them in and squeeze the life out of them. Vw need third party supply because they haven't the technical knowledge to vertically integrate this is a tough spot as it needs time and money to sort out. As vw group carry over 700 billion Euro debt not a lot of wriggle room.

EU just do not get it. They think they have a decade to sort things out. Just wait until the Chinese cars turn up game over. An EV that is good for every day use 15 grand

I think it went up something like 28% I was out between 23% and 25% and that was at 820 in the morning don't fret on a supposed miss on sp. Look at what you got not what you might have. He needs this for high energy 4680 cells for cyber truck and semi truck and I mean millions of them. His lithium supply is stable at moment but he does see the supply crunch and is trying to fix this.
