From watching the high volumes of trades the last 3 days there is clearly a new determined seller in the market. Eg the 35k sale at 55p first thing this morning.

It can’t be Conklin because he would have to announce if it was.

Could well be someone like Caledonia Threadneedle (they own under 3% so don’t have any reporting requirements). They might have bottled out seeing Conklin selling.

Once that clears I will be taking advantage of the suppressed share price to materially increase my investment here.

1. Conklin and Threadneedle selling is no reflection at all on the business itself. That is doing very well (half year underlying profit of £2m and I expect £6-8m for the full year in March 2026. Highly cashflow positive).

2. The UK economy is in a dreadful state. One more quarter of negative growth and it will be formerly in a recession. Only MANO, BEG and FRP will be the massive beneficiaries of that over the next 3+ years.

I understand and agree with your business logic but your strategy is legally flawed.

LCM do not own their cases. They are a passive financier of other people’s claims. It is unlawful to sell litigation claims.

The single exception to this in Common Law is legal claims within an insolvent estate. Only under the Insolvency Act 1986 is there a specific override to enable liquidators and. administrators to sell legal claims.

There is one listed company that does Insolvency claims only and that is MANO.

BUR and LIT do a few claims in the specialist insolvency sector but I believe they predominantly fund those as well.

So the only option for LCM would be to sell itself. Not its underlying funded claims. Maybe get could put the fund business into a separate entity but I think that would be pointless hairsplitting at this stage because the Fund track is obviously broken beyond repair now.

I noted the IC tip last week.

So I did a load of research on this over the weekend.

Interesting but I am not 100% convinced that this can multi-bag. And in the sector that this company is in, I think we need to see some serious upside potential. They are up against some seriously large competitors. I worried they would be muscled out of the growth sectors (data centres and off highway) at the same time they are seeing weakness in a couple of their other “pillars” eg healthcare.

Therefore I had a lot of ticks but also a few material crosses.

The one aspect that finally tipped the balance to put me off plunging in here was the absence of any serious investment by the CFO (although I might not have looked back far enough to properly establish his “skin” in this game). But having watched a number of management presentations, I am very impressed by the CFO. Therefore his lack of recent material personal investment was a light, pink (but decisive) flag for me.

The CEO and new Chairman’s investments are helpful but rather self-fulfilling. The CEO is minted obviously and the Chairman is new and unproven.

I remain interested but, currently, on the sidelines.

I would warmly welcome others’ insights and I am very open to changing my view.

Strikes me as the kind of situation where you wake up one morning and the price has popped 40%+ on the back of a “done deal” RNS.

Can’t see any realistic short term downside as these properties are in big demand at present.

According to the Investors Chronicle on Thursday just passed, the analysts at Cavendish believe the target takeover price for BOOM is 1,300 and takeover offers are currently being negotiated.

This is a Hot sector that’s consolidating fast. Do your own research I believe there could be some serious short term upside here. Good luck All and a very Merry Christmas.
