It's called distraction, every president has done it, focus on external countries/issues, or go to war. It's been done that way for decades.

If they try to fix problems at home, they people at home become laser focused and realise that they have been conned.

Bit by bit we are 'de-coupling' from the US. EU is moving away from Visa/Mastercard, the global South are trading in their own currencies (albeit on the quite), the US is isolating itself, as it should. The world can and will get along without them. Once they have no allies, it will be time for them to become even more aggressive and implode. They know and if you are honest, we all know it.
