Hey BiB, good to see you post. With all the hype I was getting worried some of the older board members had dispersed. I agree with what you are saying to a certain extent, I certainly don’t believe the hype that has been pumped here. The smiley face brigade and the endless ramping posts with no substantial reasoning have been comical.
It has been nice to see a couple of reasonable posts and some interested investors (some albeit clueless). I myself still hold a flame for this company and will be back in if it hits 0.07p again. For the record this isn’t me talking the share up or down just my person position.
Anyway, keep the balance in check BiB and let’s hope in the aftermath of this we have a group left on this board with which we can reasonably discuss the future here.
Regards,
Muel
Agreed Shaun. I have been here a good few months. I’ve seen many weeks of 5-10 posts. At least there is a reasonable amount of information out there for people to look at.
I will definitely hold on the next buy. People aren’t thinking about the process here, yes the interested is good but what’s the time line now? We have to get evaluated and the value has to be assessed, how long does that take? What’s the outcome? How long does a decision on the outcome take?
It not “deramping” it’s just being real.
Muel
Don’t get me wrong I love what’s going off here but I’ve seen it all too often. I got in at 0.07p on the last ‘news spike’ and then watch the SP just.. drift away I guess.
I like the company and the prospect, I could be wrong but this time I sold. I obviously hope it goes down so I can double my holding but time will tell.
Just be beware this board, figure out the value for yourself (there are decent RNS’s and presentations available) and go with your own opinion.
See you soon,
Muel
Honestly. What planet are you lot even on.
We go from getting 5-7 comments over a 3 day period and that’s mainly BiB arguing with people, to you lot spamming the board with crap. 99% none sense now being posted.
Get off my lawn, man I feel old.
Muel
80-90p?!
As much as I enjoy the influx of people here shall we keep it factual and real please. I’m sure this is an honest mistake but regardless you seem to just be picking figures out the sky..
Let’s just keep it real folks.

CawCaw, tea drinkers have enough masculinity and have no need to ingest additional supplements. Furthermore we have no need to flex said masculinity.
The pen is mightier than the sword after all.. =D
Have a great weekend all, I need a coffee!

I have just got back from Wales just in time hopefully. Now I hide away from my kids in my office (the toilet) eagerly awaiting some news..
If not I’m off to Aldi to grab some craft ales and get trollied. I highly recommend the Otis blood orange IPA.
Muel
I can confirm the weather in Wales is currently delightful too...
Ideal for Geological testing etc.
As nice as a 7:40am pint would be, unfortunately I have to drive home today.
I meant punt =D
Muel
I’m not in here (yet) but I do fancy a small pint on this.
SP is already showing as .15 on IG trading btw and it was definitely .14 last night as I was looking to see how much I could acquire. Looks like it will be a nice morning but I anticipate it will flatten out throughout the day.
Personally my target would be nearer the 0.13 range. I’m currently in Wales, maybe it’s a sign!

I will be perfectly honest Sam I am not a financial advisor nor am I a pro at the stock market.
However, if you look back to my conservative estimate of 6000bopd and use the 15% COPL share like I said we are around £10m.
Stick 2 wells in the ground and we are £20m / year.. surely that would put us firmly between 0.6 - 0.8 and that’s not accounting for fluctuations in oil costs nor is it anything we will have to pay.
There are a lot of potential upsides to be had here but my long term hold would be for a higher % of a new asset, which we acquire from the profits from this venture.
Muel
Btw thanks Dunc, I’ll give it a good read tonight.
Muel
Donald I was using 5% of 1500bopd at $40 in actual fact, which is very conservative.
Tbh I was relatively happy at that! £839k stick 3 wells in the ground, then add on 10% and that’s £7.5m by my calculations. I was merely trying to demonstrate the even at the lower end of the scale we could easily make your market cap.
The potential is obviously much greater than this. Do you think Essar will be happy with the extraction rates you are suggesting?
Muel
So conservatively if we say $40/b and 5% of 6000bopd (300)
We are looking at £3.36M. Add the extra 10% nearly £10m, then any additional wells....
Providing the flow rate estimations are accurate.
Thank you,
Muel
Haha thanks R_Dunc.
Right I get where you are coming from. I will most likely do some calculations tonight based on different scenarios, but again I would like to state I am here medium - long. This is house deposit / kids savings.
Out of curiosity where do the estimates for flow rates come from? Do I remember someone mentioning it was on the company presentations? I have been through them previously.
(Sorry if I am unearthing previous debates, I’m genuinely interested)
Muel
Hi Dunc,
I went off $40/b. 5% of 1500bpd is 75bpd (COPLs share) which is £2.3k a day right? = £839k Per year?
Happy to be corrected.
Donald, our maths seem out of sync again. My calc is on the conservative side, read into the expectations yourself but this would be easy to upscale I presume.
I’m on team COPL btw, just a friendly chat.
Muel
I think I’m busting out the filter button finally. Sorry Angus.
Donald, you can stay a little longer as you do pose some interesting questions. I mean if we are doing fag packet maths 1,500bopd still equates to roughly £839k a year for COPL. That’s not including anything else such as the 10% tax and fluctuating oil prices etc.
So if you factor in the increased wells, the extra 10% we can potentially purchase, well flow rates, the price of oil and other assets we may potentially have; it’s easy to see where the potential upsides are.
I did however enjoy my trip down the rabbit hole reading about well production rates, who knew there were so many journals on such things!
Regardless of my findings I am still happy with COPL and you have to 1,500bopd for a potential 1bn barrels of oil? That’s over 1800 years, good job I’m in this for the long run! Come on be real, regardless of the flow rate I am sure action will be take to retrieve as much as possible as quickly as possible. Especially with EV on the horizon in the near future.
Regards,
Muel
I must say I have never been more tempted to bust out the filter button. You get a little spike and you get the same clowns jumping on board spattering rubbish all over the place.
I’m in at .35, I didn’t sell. I’m happy to watch it step up, pull back a little and then go again. Less of the mystic Meg and more of the genuine investors please.
Regards,
Muel
Well that was a nice jump, I won’t be selling a bean. The RNS is spot on, everything I had expected based on the information people have provided so thank you.
I think now if we could get some speculative estimates of potential SP people may see the further potential here.
I figure there will be a few steps up and cool off periods, I will leave it to your judgement when to offload / top slice / swing trade but I will be sat on my stake for a while.
Regards,
Muel
If we get an RNS we win, if we don’t I win as I get paid a week on Friday.
I would love one last top up precious.
