Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Thanks Bladderman, I’ve been reading posts on this board so much it’s fried my brain.
I know we are on to a good thing, just a minor wobble. I think I am happy with what I have, I feel like the heat is on personally as we have to move house by April and we are in the Buy / Rent paradox. My plan was to see how we stood in 6 months time but I really don’t fancy moving house twice in 6 months!

I feel slightly at odds currently, and don’t mistake me I thoroughly believe that this is going places it just seems odd we haven’t heard anything and the deadline was 31st Dec was it not?
Currently holding 1.4m shares, I sold £700 in Phe to buy 1m in an ISA here, since Phe inevitably tripled. Such is life.
I don’t feel like I’m owed anything, this is the risk we all take when we roll the dice. But now I happen to have some more funds available, do I buy another 650k shares here and cut and run with half when we see some movement.. or do I go whole hog? Or do I keep my investments here, cut the none ISA once derisked and leave my ISA on a free carry?
I don’t know which way to turn anymore but I would be tentative about ploughing more money in currently. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Muel
Interesting news today, initially I was surprised but I am just happy to see some progress either way.
I think wants the deal concludes this will be water under the bridge. All those moaning about dilution, this is merely the first roll of the dice. Once this deal concludes I would expect exponential development and growth, whether that be development of existing fields using the new revenue, or the purchase of new acquisitions.
In the long run you may look back at this as the smartest decision Art ever made, especially if the Psc is a dud which it won’t be.
Muel
Most of you by now will know I mean well but there’s something that has been bothering me. I love all the analyses but something I haven’t seen information regarding is cost?
Not the cost of acquisitions etc but running costs. Will the BOD / employees that received shares instead of wages now receive a wage post Atomic finalisation? How much additional cost will be incurred through the new personnel annually and what are their option rights?
I’m sure it’s nothing at all, I just thought I’d pose the question as I’d not seen anything along these lines.
Kind regards,
Muel
Can you encrypt something twice?
=)
I think we forget the human element to all of this. Haven’t some employees been paid in shares? And forgive me but isn’t it Christmas?
Either way not a lot of “dripping down” can occur between now and then end of January I suspect. The hard bit is over.
The irony is I sold £700 in PHE Friday to double down here, am I crying like Joey? No. In the long run I believe this will turn good. I have my target for derisking, life will hopefully be good.
Muel
I don’t know why you guys are even entertaining this guy. You can see by his posting history what sort of person he is.
You really lead me to believe that someone saying “This might be 10p in 2-5 years” forced you uncontrollably to invest your money at the price point you did?
I have 2 accounts in this now, one average at 0.35 and one at 0.23. What would you like me to do? Sit here and say “oooo well we might be 0.0000003% up tomorrow”, or talk about my ambition for the future?
People being positive about the facts have every right to be here as much as yourself. Now you’ve earned yourself a filter because you are clearly just posting to get a rise out of people.
The 10p brigade had moved on but you hadn’t. Go back to quoting GGP on Rock.
Rant over, Muel.
My 500k trade at 8am was at 0.2375p on IG trading if that’s useful in any way
Muel
I’ve been invested here about 6 months too. 6 months of been sat on losses, 1 day of dreaming about 10p. Sorry Joey we will tone it down for you..
Nothing wrong with having a dream.
Muel
I was thinking the same Shaa, surely a buyout would be instigated in the future.
Muel
Hopefully tomorrow I will have 1m shares, my ambition was to free carry them to 10p no matter how long it takes.
You can guarantee if we ever did make it to that range people will be spouting £1 quotes!
Enjoy the journey all, if you are locked in for the long run like myself then we are going to all be here a while.
Muel
I’d just like to randomly point out as well, for all the spamming of comments we had was it Tuesday? Only 56 people had watched the Zak Mir interview on YouTube, which I find interesting.
Of course I would always advise going to the presentations after, but it still amazes me the upside potential here vs how relatively unknown the share still is. Hopefully OPL 226 is on its way and then maybe we can get the 212 fanboys involved.
Muel
Let’s see how long I “can can” = can hold out.
I need a beer
Another 212, I mean another 500k. So 1m in the ISA.
I say 10p, let’s see how long I can can in if / when we make it over 1p.
Muel
Muel reporting in.
I did hold 410k shares in a regular IG account but today I started an ISA and have purchased another 500k. When my 212 balance transfers I will purchase another 212. My ambition is to maybe sell the regular at 1p and then have the ISA money on a free ride to 10p hopefully.
I did have to sell a fraction of GGP but I really have a good feeling here again now.
I read the presentation btw, those who are keen eyed will note the bottom of page 5:
“COPL will emerge from this as a producing oil and gas company, with rapid production growth in addition to its substantial upside in its Nigerian offshore appraisal / development project”
My point being, in this statement I don’t see the word “potentially”, almost like it’s a done deal..
GLA let’s hope I’m right
Muel
Agreed Shaa, just trying to balance expectations somewhat by touching on the surface of the fact it may not be as smoother ride as people expect. There may be some volatility that comes with dilution and increasing our portfolio is all suggesting, something which some traders may take advantage of..
Which leads me onto a nothing thing, the influx of one post wonders that have appeared.
Muel
Pardon me for sounding negative, those of you that have seen my infrequent posts will know I’m not so.
I just can’t help but feel we aren’t out of the woods yet. To me, this seems like the ideal bolt on to having cash flow from OPL 226 does it not? I still feel like this slightly hinges on the Psc being granted to prop the other side of the deal up in the long term.
Surely otherwise this new purchase is going to come at a cost and we could be a way off returns still with the COVID situation. I don’t know, I’m no expert it’s just a feeling and the way I read into the RNS post excitement.
Don’t get me wrong I think it’s a great deal, if anything I feel assured as an investor. It’s just whether that assurance will pay off and we keep that momentum with the Psc or not.
Still here for the journey
Muel
Isn’t it funny how the resistance is 0.35999999999 when that is exactly my average! I am either really good or really bad at this investing malarkey..
Hope all is well, hopefully not long now.
Muel
Are you implying I talk out my rear end? As you maybe correct to a certain extent =D..
I love and hate this share, I felt so confident when I threw in. I still am to a certain extent, it has just been a long winter thus far and I feel weathered. Hopefully it comes to an end soon.
Muel
Has anyone got any jokes or funny riddles to keep us entertained?
Hope all is well.
