you can see I didn't ask directly for info on Covid test sales, as he wouldn't be able to provide that in his presentation, unless there is a preceding RNS of course.

scart, when I email the PR company through the GDR website, it doesn't seem to keep a copy of the email I send, so I will have to summarise the topics of info I included....
- progress on other distributors eg DOVIC Health in India, I included the Dovic website link, but not limited to India
- progress on FDA, WHO approvals
- progress on customer evaluations of Covid test
- funding for activities in 2020 (i.e. no more fund raising.
- progress on mobile POC Covid test
- progress on other current products

May have missed the odd point but that was basically it.

Unfortunately, I may need to miss the presentation on Friday because of a clash I have with a business call at the same time. In any event, I created a list of topics of information that folks on here (as well as myself of course) have expressed an interest in and sent it to the PR company. Hopefully, it reaches DB but I have a feeling he knows what is on our minds.

Keeping an eye on Sona Nanotech, folks in Canada expecting imminent approval from the chatter on their boards today, which also led to a link to a 5th June report on Sona, which then led to a link to UK software partner Bond Digital Health Solutions, which then led to a link to UK Gov and Wales grant support, totaling £750k, for Bonds software development, which then led to Bond being part of an international consortium that is producing a diagnostic test for patients suspected of having Covid-19, which suggests Sona are part of that international consortium. Thanks stanman, I wasn't able to listen to the Gov webinar today. I will be looking out for it, as will many others I expect.

RK, there is no doubt a LFT product can be made to work by Cytiva/Actava but there is still the question of validation and approval. The FDA have a low target threshold on sensitivity (80%) but the test will need to be much better than that to be widely useful. If they want a piece of the UK market it makes no sense to submit LFT for validation until you know what thresholds it needs to be validated against eg MHRA requirements. You would think Cytiva/Actava will want their LFT test to meet these guidelines so that the UK Gov can support the sale and use by the general public (in the UK). Those TPPs for antigen POC manufacturers is not being published until towards end of June. So I do not expect any news of validation until after those MHRA guidelines are published and Cytiva/Avacta have chcked whether the LFT test can meet those target requirements.

Urraca, we already had the answer to 4......

"The Company can only issue a TR1 when it receives the notification from a shareholder. It is the shareholders obligation to report the change in share ownership to the Company. The Company has not received a TR1 from either of the shareholders listed below and has therefore not issued a TR1."

GDR now has a firm foundation into which to plant a strong flag of belief - a validated and CE Marked product, FDA and WHO approval to follow quite soon, 1st wave Covid infections still growing particularly in immediate target markets, USPs that give the product advantages over other PCR tests, other existing WHO approved products. This is not to mention mobile POC test being developed and which will another strong growth path which should be available before the likely 2nd wave of Covid hits.

All this will drive and generate strong sales of the GDR product, that's my belief.

Just be patient ....your pint of guinness will come.

saint, yes, any hope in controlling the spread of infection whilst lockdown measures are eased is totally dependent on a rigorous testing regime. This is not only true of the UK but in the rest of the world. So I only see the need for more testing is required. Many countries have not reached their first peak yet and that's not even to consider the 2nd wave of infections that we are being warned about. The world will need all the tests it get until a vaccine is available and that won;t be for some time yet.

A great link to easily visualize the spread of Covid in countries around the world. You can highlight particular countries - take a look at India and South Africa, both rising. Also, gives details of of USA infextions by state - Florida not getting better etc etc...

scart, it was an email exchange I had with LHGP. The co-CEO responded a few hours later so they had plenty of time to check the web link I provided and it was their choice to mention Genedrive in their response as I had not mentioned GDR.

scart, I did include the link to the DOVIC website when I made the query to LHGP. They confirmed it and called out Genedrive, who I had not mentioned.

So all looks good to me.

marve, I queried the reason for no TR1s to the PR company. It took a couple of exchanges but eventually they came back with this explanation......

I emailed Sysmex South Africa this late this morning about availability of Genedrive Covid-19 testing, got a reply almost immediately from Magesh Moonsamy, Sales Manager, Sysmex South Africa ...."There are some discussions on going currently. Once the process is completed we will be in a position to provide further information"

So we know cogs are currently turning over in South Africa/Africa also, watch this space. Could see news on both India and Africa hitting pretty soon, together, or in quick succession!

scart, in the 'cancelled' tender I found the following wording..."If foreign manufactures/supplier are intending to participate in the bid, the company will have to apply through Indian company".

So seems less important for Covid tests to be 'home grown' but supply should be managed and controlled through an Indian company, such as DOVIC or Arkray.

At least we have two routes into the India market now - DOVIC and ArkRay. Either one will do for me.
