The announcement of first patient dosed in AVA6000 was on 11 August 2021.

We know the trial was designed to be data rich. We know the team aimed to be masters of FAP. Francis said “ if we learn nothing from an experiment it’s been a bad experiment”.

I therefore believe the data and the knowledge gained will be exceptional - it may not mean too much to the likes of me but it most certainly will to big Pharma. GLA.

CC is not only knowledgeable and passionate about her subject but she has excellent people skills and seems to have a shrewd business head to go with it. She clearly saw something special in Avacta from the outset. I feel sure she could have done deals by now if she had wanted to but she wants the right deal.

We are fortunate to have her and also the fantastic team of scientists she has around her.

With ref to Wmsjames post earlier today I too remember one of the earlier Spotlight series when, for the first time, I detected a sense of quiet confidence from the team - they knew they were onto something!

So much news around the corner and even the share price seems to have got some wind in it’s sails! GLA

CC has been exceptional in her communication of progress at Avacta, what more do you want.

Looking at the charts it seems there were multiple opportunities to buy this share at less than 60p between 1 January and 23 February. Not sure why anybody would feel sidelined.

Aldebaran. Please don’t bring aggro to this board( yes it is board and not bored). When you joined we had various posters appear, furious at you going on and on about Avacta on a different chat board - very bad form.

Also you don’t need to insult Touk or those of us with a lower IQ than you. You could, if you wanted, work on your spelling.

It is good to see Avacta getting more and more news coverage, it all helps promote what the company is doing.

A fascinating glimpse into the complexities of running a trial. No wonder it takes so much time.

CC is obviously good at team building but it seems pretty clear team Avacta have a good relationship with others involved - the FDA, the manufacturers, the trial sites and the clinicians at those sites. Great care is taken to ensure consistency in manufacturing, training at trial sites and in the compilation of trial data.

It all bodes well in my view.

A very interesting presentation. I like the way CC shines the spotlight on key team members and gives recognition of what they have achieved. Good leadership.

I can’t think of any other company which keeps investors so well informed. Yet we still have one or two posters who say they have no idea what’s happening!

My apologies Jagua - I was working on a figure of one billion pounds! You are correct in dollars.

Sorry to sound pedantic but a billion dollars is more like 7x current market cap for what it is worth.

Another brick in the wall. Keep building.

I’ve been thinking about the trials and tribulations of developing new inventions and ended up swotting up on Barnes Wallace, the inventor of the famous Bouncing Bomb.

It seems initial proposals were dismissed by Bomber Command as being “ a mad-cap scheme”.

There were several critical failures in the development which had to be overcome. The shape of the bomb had to be changed, backspin had to be introduced, the weapon would shatter, sink or detonate prematurely or veer off course.

Barnes Wallace persevered and it all came good in the end.

It is indeed best to look forward. Avacta is involved in pioneering technology and that means they are dealing with unknowns. If things don’t work , or don’t work as well as hoped, then you learn from that and change tack.

It is easy to dwell on past mistakes but that has no benefit. If investors here have no faith in the company and the science it is probably better to sell up and move on.

I think this will be a defining year for Avacta and feel we are in the right place at the right time.

Avacta said they wanted to “ become Masters of FAP” and that is just what they have become.

Ava6000 was indeed “the pathfinder” and progress has been slow but very positive. With Ava6103 we have hit the ground running.

If CC didn’t sound as excited as usual in the presentation it’s worth bearing in mind that if she was in Philadelphia it was 5am!

Here and now buys greatly outnumber sells and the share price is climbing back up.
