Reading the problems others have had with their brokers, l will give a shout out to Halifax. All seamlessly executed. I moved to them after being with 2 hopeless brokers and have always found them very helpful and good with the administration tasks.

If the deal is good for Luansobe then an argument could be made for selling it. But after listening to the JLP presentation earlier, the oxides and mixed ores seem ideal for the JLP modular process. The Chinese concentrators wouldn't have that ability, so agreeing terms must be difficult. And the very steep drop in lithium prices and falling sentiment makes that harder to finalise from the sounds of it.

But, like others, it would be nice if Colin could do a deal. But as you pointed out, the spod prices are poor and it seems there will be over supply due to the poor car sales etc. Saying that, the same is true with copper. Then the Panamanians and Peruvians kick up a fuss so who knows.

The Chinese will play the long game, buy up assets on the cheap where possible and bargain hard. But they also need ore for their new concentrators. Fingers crossed.

Fair point about spod prices. Just took a look, in free fall recently. Doesn't help negotiations but it would be nice to get a positive RNS tomorrow. Fortunately we have all learnt to be patient ......

Using the gold revenues at Manica to go on an exploration punt in Zambia is not creating shareholder value. I think NW Zambia has good exploration potential and worth a look. Equally l know it is nothing more than a dream/hope/educated gamble - pick your choice - at this very early stage.

The unions are calling for an indefinite strike at MMGs Las Bambas mine. With FQ also having problems in Panama it could send copper prices higher. Helpful for us if we need to cash in our Sandfire shares.

Argentina has enough problems without David Cameron talking his woke hug a husky nonsense. And Cameron loves China too much to be of any use.

He is also anti communist and anti Chinese which makes a change for Latin America. Will be interesting how it goes, certainly a maverick from the sounds of it.
