Iky, I admit I am in no rush to buy an electric car. Nor do I have any interest in the net zero argument. Totally unrealistic and isnt going to happen any time soon. There isn't the money to pay for it. However, I do disagree about the demand for lithium. Spend some time in your average Chinese, Indian, SE Asian, Latin American etc big city, the pollution is horrendous. And the birth rates in Africa remain very high. But like you, I don't trust the Chinese in business and would take the cash if offerred. And I appreciate your and others thoughts on lithium as I admit it is not something I have followed.

Just need need Blackrock to set up a Junior copper miner ETF next year and get the word out to the masses and things will quickly change. With Anglo America now running the show with their new joint ARC licences and drilling 24/7, FQ at the AFP licenses etc etc, NW Zambia is going to get hot. Just need the lithium to keep the batteries charged and momentum going .......

The reluctance not to over promote Shinganda is understandable. The broker notes mentioned on here yesterday referred to Intrepid and their Kitumba project. After initial early drilling success it then disappointed and is still to be developed. My hope is Shinganda will have a higher gold concentration going by drilling results and location.

It's interesting that Ivanhoe have been in contact. They have so many targets of their own across the border in the DRC. So why chase new exploration acreage ?. But then again :

Many thanks DC. Sounds like a lot of ground was covered and positive at that. Were there many people there ?. The story sounds compelling but at the moment seems like a closed shop amongst ourselves. Guess Colin is all in on Zambia now !.

Is there any other option ?. The economics of Bushranger currently mean it has no value. No one is going to invest billions developing it on a spike in copper prices. The situation might change in the future but I expect it to go the way of Tjate. That still sits on the books of JLP and will continue to do so. And people talk about Manica. I was a big fan but felt the last update was a lot less than convincing. Rising costs and are the Chinese playing games .................... A fixed royalty would have been better. His various other projects might come to nothing but who knows.

"Weathered oxide is the ROM opportunity which is the middle ground between oxide and sulphide bearing rocks. JLP have solved the process. Grades 0.7-2%. One dump has 300MT of material but there are hundreds of mines in Zambia with similar material at surface (no value to the mine without the process!)

Modules can be deployed to where the material is situated, cutting down on the transport costs - concentrate roughly 10% copper content which will be trucked to refinery but made up of two products (one at 20% and one at 8%). 3-4k copper per 6.5m investment system".

Shinganda is well positioned for gold as previously reported.

I looked for more details of the Anglo American geological surveying on the Angolan side of our licence, but drew a blank. I guess for the reasons you suggest. Ivanhoe will be releasing more details of their exploration which should provide clues to the XTR and GLR licences. And obviously FQ at AFP.

Agreed about a map. Unfortunately all the good geological data is kept close to their chest until they have to release it so we are left guessing.

DC, also reads well when considered in conjunction of what Colin theorised in the podcasts. The new theory was that the splay fault would be where the best results would come from. Further drilling and assays results will test the theory one way or the other.

He knows what's at the AFP licences, subject to further drilling. His geologists are working closely with FQ. So yes, geologically he has a good idea what's there. But finding the deposits carries the usual risks. Hopefully GLR has set the ball rolling.

Equally NW Zambia has the grades. Obviously the same across the border in Congo. Read yesterdays quarterlies from Ivanhoe to see what they are saying about the region.

If you want elephants there are plenty at Shinganda in Zambia. And going by the RNS at GLR, Colin might have just found his next BR !. NW Zambia will be where the excitement is for XTR, GLR and AFP. IMHO.

Its a bit sad if Iky can move the market by saying good things are coming, but when Colin says it the shareprice goes down !!
