I don't think for one moment they will jeopardise the MRE. NCM needs this quite urgently to prove to their own shareholders what a find they've got and having the MRE unlocks the door to an outright purchase.

Good point and yes that's a possibility. I think we might get the AEM to go ahead in May, with drilling in June perhaps. One thing is for sure - if Paddysat reports one morning that mobilisation around the Scallywag prospect is happening then I reckon that will be a nice day on the boards!

I do think that May is going to be a slow news month for GGP in all honesty. June 11th or so is the next interim report which should have the first info on the mystery of the SW. May might see permit news on the Decline but is that really material to the SP as NCM have raised money with their placing to dev Haverion anyhow. So the SP might drift from 7.5 to 9.0 for the next fortnight and until people take positions for June report (2 weeks before). Of course, institutional investors might change this prediction, buying up on the quiet and sustaining a steady but not meteoric rise. For clarity, my position is: currently substantially de-risked (had too much in here and wasn't sleeping well), but with a core holding that could be life-changing if a surprise takeover/rise comes in (I'm not realistically expecting that until after MRE in all honesty, but it could happen). I also have enough out of the holding now to top up on any lows that I might be lucky enough to get. Long to mid term here is very good. GLA.

The RNS would certainly have to be for both as it will be extremely price sensitive (we all expect). So NCM to release first one evening and 07.00am RNS for GGP the next day.

Hi Spy. Where has the end of July for the MRE come from please? The last I've seen on official RNSs is that it's still the second half of this year. I think it will be in the early side of that but I was looking around Sept. End of July gives us a quarterly update as of end of June's activity, but would they release an MRE at the same time? Be interested to know where you got this from. Cheers.

Thanks MP. The thing is for them to announce that in the RNS is quite a big thing (I feel). I understand that grades don't mean recoverable but it is nonetheless an excellent assessment that I would have thought should have been highlighted more in the RNS itself. Cheers.

HOWEVER - the key phrase 'returned the best high grade AU/CU results within the Paterson Province" (which would make it better than Telfer!) doesn't actually appear in the RNS the tweet links from.
Can someone shine some light on this? Is is just some marketing exec getting carried away or is this confirmed in the RNS or another one? I think it's a key bit of info if it is confirmed as it means we surpass Tefler in grade at least. This would be the first confirmation of that and gives an idea to the comparison we have on our hands. Thanks. I'm off to bed shortly but look forward to any insights on this as I feel it's a very important phrase.

GenX - I too have to confess to a dream about Paddy! (Turned into a nightmare actually as I think the sat photos all suddenly went horrid and stopped. The nightmare ended up with an RNS the next morning "Plugged and abandoned!" (A few of my oil disasters manifesting themselves!). I absolutely agree with that - the MRE will open the doors on how to work this going forward as well. That will be when buy out rumours and takeovers really come to the fore. I think Sept time for that.

How's Branson doing? Seems he's having a few probs trying to raise the money for the airline. I hope he hasn't been out on the water again during this crisis moment. So can we expect a change in your holding come the next TR1 form? Or has the update changed your mind on looking to get out at 11p? My personal belief is that the real value will be unlocked come the MRE. Probably Sept....GLA.
