Thanks for posting that video of GH in 2015. It's an interesting watch, but I found GH's site on his economic thoughts. One thing that has really stuck out is this following line about exploration - he basically says he doesn't like placings and the SP can only do well if anticipation of this is moderated:
"As a general rule (and this is a “general rule” and therefore should be considered as any investors reading as a vast overgeneralization), a resource stock does well when expectations regarding future cash flow generation improve and expectations regarding future share dilution begin to moderate.
Conversely, a resource stock does poorly when expectations regarding future cash flow generation deteriorate and expectations regarding the level of future share issuance begin to rise.

Well Arnie was always a de-ramper so she's hardly likely to say: "Oh Gosh Arnie . . . it's soo big! I'm not . . . not sure it'll fit!"

I would never, ever use a stop loss on AIM. A friend did it back in 2008 or so on one of the Falkland oilies. Had 60k invested and it dropped so quickly that his stop loss was triggered at x pence but when they actually sold it was a far less amount. So just be aware you won't get the price you put your stop loss at if the shares collapse.

Still nothing on the SW? Odd. Good to see it's still open to the NW though. Nice update and continued excellent results.

Interestingly a while back we were discussing when the institutions would start to invest in GGP. The consensus seemed to be that most couldn't as they were barred from investing in pre-MRE stocks. So this is looking like a good move now - I've always believed the MRE would come in Sept and I stand by that, (not 100% sure how the additional drilling will affect it), but it would indicate the MRE isn't far away now for the institutions to be putting it out there. Good reply and thanks for that. But I understood that was a limited test (186) and that the secret June one was bigger? Not sure where I'm getting that from to be honest as it's 23.30 on a Sat and I'm on a message board (where did it all go wrong?) So my thought is it is something new (or more ahead than we expected). That is why I think we need an RNS clarification on the 'secret' tests carried out in June that have now indicated we have excellent % success. Cheers.

I disagree Newboy. If we get an RNS confirming reports in the press (or more likley confirming validation), then it is new information. The June RNS said these have still to be completed. The fact that we now have kits lined up to go has brought all this forward. I think it's a good de-risk moment. Cheers.

If we get an RNS on Monday morning confirming the press releases then this should fly. It went up to touch 90p on the Sky News interview, and this news is far more important than that - it essentially confirms we have PHE validation. I do agree that sentiment has been knocked by the speeding ticket - I actually think the placing was fine and puts the company in an excellent financial situation so for mid/long term holders that is an advantage. So if we get an RNS that confirms all these reports then I think 80p - £1.00. If we get an RNS that says "actually the reports are wrong and a bit ahead of us as we await verification" then we'll drop 15%.

That's a good point from CB, Hydro. It also allows GGP/NCM to potentially 'hold back' good news if they do a survey that they find has good initial results before an official assay. Does make you wonder why they would do this - NCM would have the data first I suppose and it could only increase GGP's SP. Right, I'm off back to work for the day now - clients are getting anxious! Thanks Paddy, Hydro. I know there was that rumour going around of retesting cores from the SW, but I don't put any faith in that as we can only go by RNS updates. So it's simply the differences between a survey and an assay basically. Interesting nonetheless. Cheers.

Thanks Paddy. I would have thought that had they found anything of material interest then they would be duty-bound to inform the market? My reasoning for it not being on the previous update was that anything they did find wasn't ready / confirmed to be reported. I'm not a miner so don't know the precise reporting rules but I would expect an update on this area before the MRE if they have found anything material. My bet on MRE is Sept/Oct time. Cheers.

Well done and good for you! I too spent the weekend with the computer turned 'OFF' and barely once checked my emails. Had to do urgent work on the veg patch as the sparrows were beheading my beetroot! Rotters! Serious question now though: Do you think we'll see a definite update on the SW in the next report?
