BMW signs to a fully binding offtake agreement at Market rates with a discount , with R & F against Fast Markets with EUR trick is what will the market rate be in four years , any guesses anyone ?
I feel sorry for you Skelly , you obviously never played musical chairs did you ?
Who said I used to think Smelly ? Your putting words in my mouth are you ??? I still think it ! This will be first of its kind in Europe and may predicate / precedent any future offtake in Europe " And for the fact there will be a signature on a proper offtake rather than the old MOU ." What is not to like about that If Geomet do the same considering we are also 1 of two last standing .
European Lithium went into trading halt this morning regarding long term offtake agreement with BMW . Will be interesting to see if they get market rates subject to rise and fall . It may give EMH a little kick knowing that the market will accept long term contracts at market rates . And for the fact there will be a signature on a proper offtake rather than the old MOU . That will be two mines now , out of action to supply any one else and have had brief emails with Keliber whom I believe will sell into spot , they have no offtakes and are fully funded . Makes EMH just that little more attractive . If the market can put 2 and 2 together we might get a decent kick . By the way this is an offtake without a DFS and mining permit I believe , some say that don't happen .
BERLIN – Volkswagen will soon make a decision on the location of its planned battery plant in Eastern Europe and begin searching for a location in Canada, Chief Executive Oliver Blume said on Friday.
“The decision on the location [of a battery plant] in eastern Europe will come shortly and in Canada we will begin looking for a location soon,” Blume said, speaking at an extraordinary shareholder general meeting in Berlin.

Posted this on EUR thread yesterday : "VUL latest to delay one year , I personally think they are all waiting on EU about the free cash that they are about to splurge , these grants normally come with strict rules and guidelines , none of them are prepared to move on their own , incase they need to restructure , rename , refocus , post date etc to be to meet the guidlines the EU will throw at them , taking a step forward too early could jepardise getting the grants . Of course no one will tell you that . Another six months and some of the puzzle will start unfolding I think . EU are on notice after Biden's big splurge ."

Vulcan Energy delays lithium output target by a year
Reuters
FRANKFURT, Dec 14 (Reuters) - Lithium supplier Vulcan Energy (VUL.AX) is around a year behind schedule to reach an annual capacity of 40,000 tonnes because of supply chain delays, the company's chief executive told Reuters on Monday.
Plans to build a sample facility in the summer of 2022 were held back by material shortages because of supply chain bottlenecks, delaying the feasibility study the company hopes to use to attract the more than 1.7 billion euros it requires in investment.
From 2024, battery producers in Europe will need to declare the pack’s total circular carbon footprint – including responsible mining and sourcing, recycled content, performance and durability – to regulators and consumers.

The market’s eruption has shifted the industry a little from negotiating private supply contracts over fixed periods towards a more transparent price structure tied to spot reference prices reported by agencies and producers.

Start of 2015 for me IMCO
After all-night negotiations, the European Union struck a political deal to impose a carbon dioxide emissions tariff on imports of polluting goods such as steel and cement, a world-first scheme aiming to support European industries as they decarbonize.
I should imagine this will make our Lithium a bit more competitive .

Playing in the hands of Cinvec
Companies placing batteries on the EU internal market will have to demonstrate that the materials used for their manufacturing were sourced responsibly. This means that social and environmental risks associated with the extraction, processing and trading of the raw materials used for the battery manufacturing will have to be identified and mitigated.
Hopefully this is the last rule around the Lithium industry and now they can start throwing out some dosh .

Keliber aims to be the first fully-integrated lithium producer in Europe, targeting first production in 2024 and ramping up to produce around 15,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide per year
They paid $470 mil usd ( $700 mil aud ) Sibanye-Stillwater agreed to take a 30.29% stake in Keliber for the above production which infers $2.3 bil aud at full value and times 2 for production to 30,000 tonnes so EMH should be worth 2.3 bil or there abouts ie $12.50 aud a share for our half
https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/sibanye-stillwater-raise-stake-finlands-keliber-2022-06-30/
The Keliber project consists of several advanced stage lithium spodumene deposits, with significant exploration upside in close proximity to the existing project. Based on a feasibility study completed in 2019 and improved in 2020, Keliber currently has 9.3 million tonnes of ore reserves, sufficient for more than 13 years of operation. Planned annual production is 15,000 tonnes of battery grade lithium hydroxide. Production is anticipated to start in 2024. The project includes the development of a chemical plant in Kokkola, approximately 50 kilometres from the mining area, which will produce battery grade lithium hydroxide. Future lithium hydroxide production has not been committed to any offtake party.
So that value up there sort of has to be a starting point I would imagine . but our mine has a 20 year mine life not 13 only using 10 % of ore ( something like that ) and 7 mil tonnes of Lithium and a second block .
