The dip in sp is surely expected as the traders dump their short term buys. I did wonder about joining them but decided against as the moment I sold the sp would probably double:)).

TheDogFarther, H&W is indeed rather enigmatic. It is so undervalued as to beggar belief. Perhaps the mms and investing community are not responding because we haven’t yet made a profit. I wonder if it is going to be kept down, regardless of news until the level of, or even the forecast of, a dividend forces the sp to a sensible level. Until then it’s possible that the traders will have their way upping and downing to make the odd penny here and there.

Lottie123, agreed. Currently Britishbulls, who boast a fair forecasting record here are recommending to stay long.

Consuela, you’re against ‘everything that man stands for’ yet, not too long ago, you were lauding his ship building efforts and you were only against IM. Have you shifted your stance or is it just a slip?

Unfortunately the sp is following the previous trends and is falling as the traders run off with their penny and tuppenny gains. Still the gain of 20%. + over last last couple of days is ok for now.

Not to be sniffed at? Any rise is welcome but It wasn’t enough to get us on the risers board. An important day for Harl, a mediocre rise in sp for many.

A lot of people will be disappointed by the modest increase today. However this seems in keeping with similar historical moments. What is key now imo is that Fid, engineer and contractors are appointed quickly and, surely, funding can also be concluded.

Tonno1945, Poots main interest was following correct procedure. He said if granted then he would be challenged by the naysayers. If denied he would be challenged by the supporters. So time was taken to, as far as humanly possible, make every step taken, one that followed requirements to the proverbial ‘T’

ForrestGump, Certainly it will validate the decision if the appeal is denied. I’m not sure if it will silence the rowdies. Consuela thinks not, yet fails to mention other avenues that might be effective in delaying the matter further. I hope, if the decision goes our way that fid Engineer appointment and construction commence immediately.

ForrestGump, this is only a judgement to confirm or deny that Edwin Poots made his decision in the correct legal way. It isn’t a challenge whether the granting of the licence should have been made.

I read it as three ferries. Two from Penzance and an inter island one.

I don’t see it as a tree shake. Either the traders from yesterday are getting out with a penny or so or, naughty, naughty, there’s a leak.

It will be Interesting to see the details and cost estimates of the design. Does this now mean that IM, will be sold to fund the ferry or ferries. One ferry could cost more than the £150m that we might receive from the sale of IM. Hopefully not, but cash flow is going to be huge, mainly one one way and seems to make a lot of sense if the ferry idea is actioned.

I foresee plenty of wallets smouldering from burnt cash in the aftermath of a successful JR. I know that some sites are still rating Harl as a selective short but, for me, the quantum leap isn’t far away. Perhaps some enjoy the adrenalin rush caused by panic?
