If you believe, or maybe, still believe in the story, then the sp has a long way to go. If you can no longer stomach the ongoing jam rhetoric, then perhaps an alternative investment may be more appropriate.

MF12, agreed and it would raise in plant and machinery, as inferred by Si -D. The £77 comes , afaics , £45 from the FSS contract, £12 from Harl ( presumably through long term asset financing). Leaving £20 from the levelling up fund and landlord contribution.

I would have thought that, given the three/ four year construction period, that immediacy would be, if not paramount, very important. We can introduce the hydrogen element in due course if hydrogen storage approval is given. In the meantime get the sluicing started. I’m hoping that there’s no wish from anyone to seek hydrogen approval before work begins.

Surely they’ve had plenty of time to consider options already. But no, we have still more procrastination. I get the feeling that the decision is already made, hence the apparent lack of interest and action.

FWIW, I also think that without JW, Infa would have gone out of business years ago and H&W would still be a distant memory…….. as for Arnish, Methil and Appledore. The resurgence of interest, worldwide, in shipbuilding gives me hope that low pay and low margins are, for the time being assuaged. IM remains though the jewel in the crown and should be driven forward with vigour.

TheEast, why should we wait to see if there are further challenges? We’ve had the go ahead twice now so let’s get in with it as quickly as possible. Also IM is an important part of Harl, I don’t think we should sell it but rather enter into a partnership and develop it jointly. Whatever we do it should be done quickly.
