Agree. Patients need to be recruited as they arrive in hospital. I assume he meant that they have all sites and investigators ready to recruit when the go ahead is given. Right now should be very easy to recruit 10 patients per UK site in a matter of days. Definately the time for access to the patient group required in most parts on the world. If had started in the summer would have been different so that's a positive we delay until now.

Yes, correct. The other agents used were long established agents rather than an unlicensed drug in development. He said also that therapy with the nebuliser more complex in a trial. I was satisfied with explanation, as a pharmacist.

A contraindication is a particular condition under which the manufacturer states that an agent should not be used eg hypersensitivity
to active ingredient, in liver disease, in pregnancy etc.
It is not usually stated that in combination with another agent (ie with dexameth) that a drug would be contraindicated. This is more likely to come under a drug-drug interaction and is usually manageable in combination.
In webinar this week RM started that dexameth suppresses IFN beta ptoduction and that SNG001 is a "Happy companion to dex". No way it will be contraindicated in combo.

What's interesting is 94% with autoantibodies were men. I was wondering why the adverts re giving antibodies post covid were only aimed at men! Assume this is why.
Author mentions 100 trials re interferon taking place then mentions syn001 alone. May be due to timing, as lancet paper just out, but definately positive that our agent was considered worth the mention from the list!? (we have the novel route /delivery for starters)

Been watching this BB since around April when began to invest here. Rarely post but have some useful insight re vaccine...
Today a special deep freeze was delivered to the pharmacy department of large hospital, major UK City, to be distribution hub of pfizer vaccine when becomes available, if approved ? Early December. (Astra zeneca expected to follow early next year and only needs fridge) Apparently once defrosted can be used, without need for cooling, for 5 days.
I, like many, thought the logistics of the pfizer vaccine would make it almost impossible to use, but it seems relatively straightforward !?
We don't have much time before vaccine in use.
I hope the peer review will maintain interest in our therapeutic option whilst this happens!??

Hi regulars. I've only just registered today but I've been following the chat since around mid March when I first started to invest in synairgen. I'm just an amateur investor (busy nhs day job) and started to get interested when I came across the agent because of my job(covid /delivery method /side effect profile /COPD prevalence etc).
There has been ups and downs for me with the sp fluctuating and results delayed etc but I tended to come to the site for reassurance, although I always had a good feeling it was going to come through.
Yesterday, when husband said "just seen a drug for 79%improvement on BBC app. Is it yours? "my heart began to race. At work was hard to maintain concentration as the price rocketed.
I'm holding as I think COPD /home trial and buy out could improve matters further.
It's been a surreal experience to see it fly and I feel I should say" I've been here too "now.
Thanks to most for support over past few months and GLA going forward!
