You should follow the sale items which are very specific as day by day the availability of sizes decreases. Why end it before it's done the job of moving excess stocreaction or strategy? It's a poor management team that can't react when the strategy hits a glitch such as bad weather.
I bought some Superdry goods myself and was very impressed with all aspects except the parcel tracking which could have been more precise. That said the packaging was excellent, the clothes very impressed including shoes which were actually worth full price so to get them at 50% off pleased me a lot feeling like a real bargain.
I have a considerable holding here so am biased but have to say it was a good experience. I am notorious for being very hard to please. As a hyper critical buyer at home and in business SGP have easily outshone most companies that i have had dealings with of late, service elsewhere being worse than rubbish.
I have one question for anyone on this or other boards who feel SGP are less than a very good bet. "Have you actually purchased through the site" i don't mean a belt, order some of the product, try the service and check the quality. I would safely assume that those who question or knock SGP probably don't buy Superdry.
If UK lfl sales are down does it really matter? Look at any map and compare the rest of Europe, USA & China with the UK then ask yourself honestly which markets you would rather be looking to gain traction in.
If USA takes 5-10 years that's not the end of the world. It would be a fool who thought the USA could be anything liked cracked in less than that time frame.
Over the last few weeks Superdry have achived something very important with this 50 year old. They have drawn me in with a sale and impressed me sufficiently to have me checking other ranges at full price. The only problem is that this brand is not for 50 year olds. Having said that i don't have to wear it to invest in it but now that i am wearing it i can say "it feels good". You rarely see fat people wearing superdy that's a plus as is he fact that the general perception on the street is of a trendy brand.
I do wish they had something to offer us 50 year olds but am savvy enough to admit that my trendy days are largely over. Perhaps "NDY" (Not Dead Yet) could work as a brand concept? lol
I am not jumping ship although at current levels Lloyds is becoming more attractive by the day!
