How would you play this? Do you provide an update at the end of Q1, which will likely only be treated as a negative but gets it out of the way or do you wait until half year result where you can show current trading figures for Q2 which won't have been impacted but 'the incident'?

Im not convinced we'll be seeing a significant swing either way in the short term without news for two reasons, it's holiday season and uncertainty regarding final impact of 'the incident'.

We appear to be recovering to the timeline Stuart provided and with better IT systems, still can't get my head around the fact I can order socks online for delivery to anywhere in the UK but not a store, perhaps next week, can't darn these any more.

Company fundamentals haven't changed we're simply awaiting a final cost? Loss or missed opportunity? If it's 300m only a small proportion will be cost, IT and waste, most will be missed sales - we won't make as much profit as we would have but we'll still make a good profit.

Congrats on becoming a woman, have you changed your name from Pete, obviously not Dave but Elaine? Can we see works for £500m, i had play and struggled to get to £300m. Stuarts MO todate has been to underplay good news and overstate risks in advance so that what the news actually arrives he's done better, why would he change here. Kantar also gave good figures for us, not all online trade was lost but went in store.

I'm confident we will be presently surprised when we get the next trading update, should be one before Nov, my thinking anyway. We won't see a1bln profit this but the year after looks promising.

Higher or lower by end of the month? My money is on higher and yes, still expect to see £4+ this year....and it will be a Friday.

Jds is rather odd. He is very bad for one's financial health. If you follow him he will lead you to screw up your investing and if you disagree he'll call you names for ever and a day.

Do you know what's more frustrating than the current SP, my filter has unfiltered so I've read the musings of a naive investor. If you are a naive investor reading this and sat on a big loss, it's not because you're naive it's because you're a fool, 1, never invest on what someone says here, 2, if you know you're new to this then only dip you toe in - yes you'll still be sat on a temporary loss but it won't be BIG relative to your PF.

If, having DYOR, you think £4 is super ludicrously overly optimistic later this year, then i suggest you sell up and move on, cracking bit of investment advice...wait for the good news before buying, or anticipate the good news and buy low, curious there's less voices saying lowing.

Evening retirement, that's the funny thing, it doesn't matter what anyone else has invested, doesn't impact me so why give it any thought. Fender just likes to prod people but not so keen on being prodded. Position trader and when there's a flurry of post you know he's thinking of getting back in, just worried over a few pennies, bless.

You sound like the one that's stressed, and slightly like Trump, what you panicking about if you don't hold a position, worried you might miss bottom? Should you get in before the AGM? Don't worry, none of us will know, just post that you did. I keep saying it will be £4 by a Friday and it will, ideally this one but if it's not till the one before Christmas so be it, don't think we'll have to wait that long.

Looks like a 20% drop in clothing sales for the cyber period with the indication not all online sales were 'lost'. Got me thinking, where did the £300m figure come from? Profit from non food sales last year was £475m, £1.3m per day, we can't have lost all of that and sure it'll be more than 20%, even at 100% for the 45days that only accounts for £60m.

Can't wait to see the actual figures, suspect shorts will close quickly when we do, definitely £4 that Friday 😂

Fair play the SP is unexpectedly boring but I'm loving the banter, reminds me of when the SP was sub £1 early Oct 22, I said the same thing to a poster about a few pennies which encouraged me to buy more at 93p. They didn't repost until Apr 24 at £2.59, hope they took my advice, sorry opinion and bought in and bagged like a true trader.
