Mr Fender, you are twisting what I said, I never said 10% in a month, I said 10% by the end of the month, two weeks, claim fantastical! I even think half of that will come over the next two trading sessions, unless Tangoman opens his mouth. I suggest your trader friends are hoping for more of a bargain than is being presented, we'll know in a few hours.

It did make me think, what of Asda, on reflection I don't think the announcement was as bad as was made out, however I do have a concern Asda may not be with us in 18mths, that got me thinking, what if it isn't, who would take it on, I'd say no one and it'll be cut up. What then? Within walking distance to my local average sized M&S we have a small Aldi and a large Asda, too big for either but Tesco, Sainsbury's? That may be a real risk, do we up size for that growth? Either way that's a long way down the line, way past May results and 8am tomorrow.

Still confident we'll see 340 in short order tomorrow or I'll be down town to by a box of chocolates to contempt life.

Bit of a shock over reaction here considering everyone knows about Asdas problems but a great opportunity, wish I had more to throw in here, think it may be hard to buy below 340 first thing Monday but good luck to those who are looking to, easy 10% before end of month, I not sooner.

Not surprised by a pull back but 3%? Though we are still up 3% on the week and may regain some tomorrow, not even opinion, just a thought.

I do have advice, perhaps we need to focus less on others unless it's to help, remember we're not just investors, we're M&S investors.

Evening Cosb, not sure it's my place to say welcome or class myself as a more experienced investor but happy to give you a view.

From what you've said, £1.14 & £23k I'd say you know the business and what you're doing. One question to answer yourself, has anything changed, business fundamentals, world events or personal circumstances etc that changes your original decision, If you had the cash now would you make the same call?

Never nice to see a loss soon after buying in, so question two, we're you nervous because its normal to be or something has changed or you invested more than you should? Answer yes to the last two options and I consider reducing in case there is a fall back.

With regards your question, I was expecting to see the sp drift with slight rises between Feb and April with perhaps more of a rise closer to results. Is it happening the other way around, fomo? Take this next bit as you will, I bagged at 360 and at 365 I have a nice round number that I'm more than happy to walk away with but would be disappointed to walk away with less. Not for me to tell anyone what to do but I see further growth here for short and long term and will stick with it, my current sell plan is thus, excluding world events etc, if we spike above 425 before results or if we fail to breach £4 by Christmas.

Evening BadNew, I spotted the volatility at the time, when I looked I could see a few low value trades and out of sync timewise, I suspect someone had a glitch, nothing more. With the two big trades I'm thjnk it's only one but listed twice, glitch again and perhaps see a correction tomorrow. Looking at the price and the opening price it could be premarket, in which case I'd guess a buy. Regardless a great day and my pf looks good as I've bagged here, again. No idea why such a rise today but longer term looks back to normal, £4ish by result with a few dips along the way. You may even be back in profit before the solstice.

Is it me or does the market just simply not like Ocado, I guess easy to do when it keeps making a loss and promising profits soon.

On our side, Retail, what's not to like, growth in all areas especially Q4 and expected to continue through 25 and ahead of market. We've had plenty of talk about the pending NI and wage increases, robots aren't affected to the same degree as shop pickers.

Why is this BB always positive? Granted it can be a bit of an echo chamber but that's really down to two aspects, 1, most here are LTH who see future value, those who don't see it have sold, never to be heard from again, we sent CoreyV round with a saw off! 2, negatives tend to come from derampers who may be shorters or wanting a lower price, considering fundamentals here that's a high risk strategy and there are plenty of other options available so they simply don't bother.

Analyst being fed bull? I completely disagree, even if they were its their job to analyse it and find the truth. Our team have been clear on what they were going to do and then they did it with trading statements confirming it's working.

Why the recent drop? That has been covered and is multifaceted, slight over bought, sell on news brigade, fear in the media reducing buyers, staff shares being issued, winter gloom, traders or holders expecting the drop to buy back later, sellers with £4 target getting out. Plenty of other reasons but theres a start.

Why will 2025 be a good year? Optimism, equally all trading updates or media are positive.

One question back at you, what are the negatives and how will they effect the SP between now and May and Christmas?

Same price as 7mths ago but compared with 12mths ago we're up 48%, sorry that was positive so for balance we are also down 48% compared to our highs of May 2007.
