Sometimes anticipate the market other times follow it. Like others i expected the price to drop further, but it hasn't and is showing real resilience and strength, why? Is the market taking a longer term view, result in a month should be great and the current attack won't effect them, Wallace are reducing their short and quickly. The attack although not great is a short term, one off hit and doesn't impact the long term, what will the final cost be, inc lost trade, my guess it'll be in the tens of millions not hundreds and certainly isn't about to end the company or wipe out the expected £800m+ profits.

I'll be watching the price with a view to buying a final tranch below 390.

I hope it's just the one store as that's pathetic, as a shareholder I suggest you go have a word with the manager. Simple option from the past, when to store closes any waste is offered to staff at 50% or even 25% of cost, happy staff and better that than now paying for it to go. Anything left, phone food bank, dogs home etc and say they can have it for free if they collect. If the tills can't process the discount go for cash only, use the cash raised to buy M&S tinned goods to donate to food bank and good news story.

Smaller deliveries are understandable for risk management but only short term, staff will still be monitoring stock and can do it manually, computers are down, phones still work, fax, email?

M&S have been around a very long time, not only does it have a loyal customer base but also staff, a good proportion who have also been around a very long time, long enough to remember how stock control used to be done. We have a competent management team who I doubt just left it as phoning the IT dept, they will also be working on mitigating stock control.

In terms of lost online sales, what proportion will we have actually lost, a good proportion of those loyal customers will have gone to store or will simply wait a few days.

Worst case we get an RNS saying it's taking longer and we may revisit the 350s but at some point we'll get the all fixed RNS, even if we only regain half of this drop the puts us back towards £4 with FY results and divi to come. I'll be buying more on which ever RNS we get.

Interesting times, I had just got kn a plane Friday when the RNS dropped so jo time to consider or act, either way. Couple of days earlier I had thought about setting a buy order for 375, not sure if I'm happy or not that I didn't.

Unless there's a positive RNS Monday confirming they have thwarted the Daleks then the indication would be for a fall...except the rise in to close Friday is throwing me. Will find out in the morning and ready to double up. Gla

I sold last Monday with a thought of getting back in lower, my own opinion or advice lasted less than 24hrs and got back in 5p higher at 3.55, sometimes it pays not to listen to your own advice, just seen £4 flash up.

I agree with all the points raised, our future is bright and still confident at May results we'll be 10% higher. In store yesterday and great to see our offer is better, continual improvement is, well, continuing. The problem I see is this is not a Truss moment, Tumps going nowhere. So far this year we've dropped to 320 for no justifiable reason, we now have carnage, fear and uncertainty in the global markets, i worry we might see a new year low in the coming days.

As caveat, usually when I have a moment like this I marks the bottom!
