I think the investment case is very simple. The solar industry is on an upward trajectory with a compelling investment case when compared to hydrocarbons. Verditek has a good solar product, and more to the point, they have a man at the top who is confident he can sell it, and which does not require any future R&D to commercialise successfully. I am looking only for signs that it can sell, and that those sales will continue. The company's promise is that we will get such news, and so I think on a 6-12 month view it looks very good with plenty of upside on the current valuation. I don't really need to think beyond that time horizon, but there are some huge possibilities as new markets are discovered. If the JDP with Paragraf comes off they will be the best in show, and we will all be very blessed. But this is not what I am focused on.

I don't think Grid-scale connection projects is what they are currently looking at, but I cannot be entirely sure of that. I have been looking at the growth of solar in the mining industry and it is primed to tee off fast now, for a variety of reasons. 30% of mining costs are wasted on diesel power consumption - and solar PV can save 25% retrofitted, or 50% when couple with a new mine - those are huge money savings, and brings added power resilience too.

This interesting news from Rio Tinto caught my eye given the Gov't subsidy mentioned by Paul Harris and what he said about the talks with Aussie miners :-

It's a 34 megawatt solar photovoltaic plant which is expected to supply all of Koodaideri's electricity. According to the article "Miners are increasingly turning to solar power to lower power costs and cut emissions".

Zoox have developed real time mapping software around which they have built an advanced AV driving system. The technology is worth mega bucks, and rightly so. I would not put a Guident app in that bracket, actually, useful though it may be to have an emergency response system and parking control.

Not really checked cheeks we know LucyD is a non-event. It is nothing surprising in the least. If the style improves it can sell. ALL companies - Google, Vizux etc.. are plugging away with the same problem... so far.... The IP could be very valuable when the tech catches up. It is doing that. I'd give it a whirl with the new frames, I am now actively considering buying some. No-one wants clunky frames. These are no longer clunky frames. There WILL be a growing market for such a product if you want my opinion. People wear shades running in the summer don't they, so what's the difference? Why not have music and calls integrated? IMO it is ONLY the lack of sleek styling frames (to date) holding this market back. Other companies doing this too, for a good reason. SO patents are crucial - let me know what you find on that please ddubya.

I am a runner ddubya. I will never ever run with music simply because my phone is large and heavy and it makes for a PITA when trying to push the buttons and I get sweaty so I hate having headphones in my ears. They sometimes hurt too. But I can now buy A Garmin Forerunner 245 Music for about £280 and in theory I can wear it with prescription running shades that play me music, or just with ordinary glasses. My eyesight is not so bad I need this, I just think I would prefer it to earphones which I simply detest wearing. I'd like to see this particular angle marketed. I think marketing the safety angle like they have done is totally wrong, and a bit silly.

There will be some red faces here when the one we places at zero value (me included) brings home the bacon. They Lyte frames make all the difference IMO. I might be interested to consider them as a replacement option for headphones when running.

ddubya I will be buying TWO Samsung tellies in the next few days. I am going to keep the receipts and claim my cashback when the case is won. I think that's how it works, it will be like paying myself in free tellies.

What's the exit plan. ? Is it to develop an independent brand? Is it to sell the tech to a mainstream tech giant? How long will it take for those goals to be reached?
