I would question if the UK was 'dependent' on food imports since it was producing 3/4 of it's grain needs. Add fishing, farming and what families grew themselves would suggest they could survive. I would expect food imports were done because they were either cheaper or luxury items.

I agree that we should be far more independent these days when it comes to food and fuel.

From the issued RNS following SL announcement.

"The previously announced Heads of Terms with Premier Oil and Navitas will expire on 30 September 2021 (unless extended by mutual consent before that date). If the Heads of Terms expire, Harbour will have an initial 90 days to elect how to proceed with their exit."

90 days takes us to the 29th December so it would be nice to hear some progress before everybody heads off on their Christmas breaks.

The news could potentially affect the share price so couldn't be announced in the AGM without it being RNS'd prior.

In my opinion, if nothing or very little comes from OM award (say return of costs) then a funding raise would be very difficult without a clear defined plan and partners signed up beforehand. How long could that take?

Seems like the only mention of oil in the FI candidate manifestos is for CBD oil!

Would be happier if the spread was a little narrower.

It actually ran out on 30 September however I suspect HBR pulling the plug on SL effectively negates it. Just my opinion though.

I thought Navitas had to make a decision by today, or does HBRs announcement effectively null that?

LTT, you posted the above earlier. Where have you got the bit about Harbour having to let Navitas know one way or another? My understanding is that there was an exclusivity period for Navitas to decide if they want to farm in, which was extended to 30th Sept 21.
My interpretation is that on or by this date, Navitas can sign up or walk away. I didn't read it as Harbour would let Navitas know if SL was going ahead or not by then. I see no reason why another extension can't be applied if all parties are happy. And so it would continue.

Great post paperwerks. It would certainly seem that somebody is pulling their strings. Seems odd that this would be at the top of their agenda.

Assuming the award decision isn't released this afternoon, would it be feasible that the current delay is a bit more than an 'administrative' delay? Is it possible that Italy are now trying to settle this outside of the arbitration process (if that is possible?) thus preventing the feared precedent being set?
