Even if you were unlucky enough to buy an MCX tracker at the
'07 market top, that now trades over 70% higher at Friday's close,
which Excludes dividend return.

If you don't like UKX performance, then perhaps don't buy most
UKX stocks, Or be more careful with stock selection.

No one is compelled to purchase a UKX constituent.

Don't like the rules of the game?, play a different one, or differently,
because even in the UKX, fortunes have been made on selective stocks.

For transparency this is my largest personal holding
and member of the MCX.

Strong 2020 performance, growing NAV by 18%.

Cautiously managed and has a very strong longer term record.
Plenty of information on the RIT Capital Partners IR site.

Mentioning as there have been many recent posts
on UKX or UK market 'performance'.

Otherwise an MCK tracker or high quality UK smaller company
Investment Trust is worth considering.

AZN - Just to clarify from FY '21 onwards, on consensus EPS estimates,
their dividend is well covered.

Should AZN have cut while rebuilding earnings?.

Yes there was certainly a case to do this.
The rebuffed Pfizer bid (brilliant decision)
may have ensured the payout was maintained to secure
ongoing institutional support.

On GSK there is currently no discussion on quarterly dividends
being under threat, at least none that I'm aware of.

What is undecided is the level of those Q
dividends from Q1 '22 on.

That should be made clear well before the CH spin off,
(Best guess around the 2021 FY announcement).

The split will imv be used to hive off a significant portion of net debt
from core GSK to CH.

Discussion quality on GSK is significantly better on LSE than on other forums.

Just wish LSE facilitated an Edit function, even time limited one,
as with dyslexia it can be a pain.

I started drinking matcha green tea 2 weeks ago and this appears to have
significantly helped, no definite idea why - perhaps powerful anti inflammatory action.

I've seen that with my own Mother, sad to say.

My Mum grew up in a council house, her Dad was an alcoholic,

as a result my grandmother had to take factory work.

Anyway, long story short...as a result my Mum always strived for

material possessions and money. In the end my Dad made a lot in business,

selling out to private equity in 2010. My parents ended living in

the St George's Hill Estate in Weybridge, security on the gates to get in

etc, did this make my Mum happy?, nope, more miserable,

Because there was a sudden realisation that everything she equated with

happiness and outward success did not turn out to give contentment.

My Dad is a completely different personality type, wealth has made him

happier, but this is the thing, he was happy to start with!.

Would hope a little oversold and 2% will do me on either.
