Well Pdub ... at that time I think there was a great deal of over-optimism and general naivety. Times have changed and so has FM.

Now I don't personally see Bushy developing Mokopane without a significant investor willing to stump up cash in exchange for an offset to market price of Vanadium (essentially a capital and interest discount). That gives them a long term future supply at a discount in a world likely to be in deficit.

There is just no realistic way Bushy could raise $0.5B+ and expect shareholders to hang about for several years to start getting a return.

reserves of course being relatively meaningless without any real plan to use them. So far there is no indication of any plan to monetise Mokopane.

Now to be fair to FM he may reasonably have expected to get to that point by now but has been overtaken by 3 key factors:

1. A considerable under-estimation of the time & cost of refurb (hence the substantial Orion deal) and getting to a stable operational footing markets can believe in

2. Eskom taking forever - there is no massive incentive to rapidly produce more Vanadium in SA (for SA), let alone elsewhere

3. VRFB worldwide expansion got delayed somewhat by Covid

Top get the funding package together, or have a set of 3rd parties fund on a future supply arrangement for the substantial VRFB future, everyone needs to have confidence in both it and the timeframe .... This is why 2022 is so key.

You miss the essential point Beginermann..... To get vanadium of sufficient purity in the very large volumes needed for substantial VRFB expansion, I personally think having Ruddy great mountains of the stuff, a antbto refine it, and a plant to turn it into electrolyte is rather a winning ace.

There is no realistic prospect of obtaining the huge amounts from co-production which by its very title is a bi-product of a production process..... Is that going to get ramped up... Are those products needed.

So yes.. entry of sources... But not at the levels that will be required

And where will these others get their vanadium.... The one thing BE has the others don't is a parent company that mines it and can sell at a price taking the vertical integration gain into account ;-)

Alleycat ... advice is just that ... can take it or leave it. You make your own decisions, otherwise give your money to some overpaid fund manager whose priority is his next bonus and not your returns.

SP movement is all about noise (positive & negative) ... but ultimately, as the great sage himself always say 'value will shine through in the end'

when (if ) we leave AIM, FM is going to have to do a lot better on the 'managing shareholder' side ...

I am happy where the company is going so right now tolerate the lack of any SP support .. but in a years time if we are like this, I expect the AGM to be a bit less easy ... next year must really be the year it all visibly and tangibly kicks together.

But to my mind, we really have to get off AIM - it is clearly so easy to manipulate and not being flavour of the month/year is clearly having a telling effect.
