@Bulent74 ... I have been invested lending in FC for 4 years . There certainly is a default rate but not sure where your 'forecable bankruptcy' comes from. Lending is made with (on the whole) guarantees/Guarantors - if there is default then FC goes after that .... but still I have lost money and accept there is a fall-down rate.

Just like any commercial loan situation ... so what is the problem ?

As for profit - need sales .. lots of sales. Some positive noise in Germany but unless Red find the finance to take back there will be no actual orders (at least that's how the RNS reads).

On a positive front, the global VFRB market appears to be embracing leasing/rent as an option citing lower capX cost and lower Lifetime Costs - that can only be a good selling point given Vanadium pricing is above $110 and rising.

This stock is very much a high risk one and I do not see an MCAP of 150M (3x) any time soon without very significant sales

during the strike, if I remember NickD's notes, product continued to sell from stock pile. At no time was supply to end users affected. So although potentially a lower mined tonnage will come at the end of year (potential as we do not know the impact of upgrades, overtimes working, bonus incentivisation etc) we do know that the sale price went up 20+% ... so although mined tonnage may (or may not) be reduced, the expected H2 Sales and margin should increase.

@CC ... Strikes me that the spangle $35 figure the leasing residual value number ?

That is a very interesting idea !!! ... may even at a push account for why such emphasis has been placed on future long term pricing being $35

whilst I have a sympathy for the sentiment, and I have not in the past terribly complementary of chez Meyers..... the SP has kept doggedly behind the target revisions. If they put a target of 80p it would not change the fact we are circa 28 and I do grudgingly accept they sort of imply significantly higher prices if their $35 was not used.

That aside, I really have no idea what SPA do for Bushveld. In interviews facts always feel dragged out... but maybe there is a lot behind closed doors

@pb .. god forbid !! ... just pointing out that corruption is one thing (and there is plenty of it in the world), but that does not stop successful investment ... as I see it, SA has a much higher risk due to the asset-grab mentality of the marxist elements of the ANC.... Brazil may be violent and corrupt, but once established, business is left alone - just pay the toll - it is the uncertainty of loosing assets that stops large scale investment in SA, not corruption per say

assuming both fair market pricing and more particularly a better view of SA becoming a low risk economy stamping down on corruption and an attractive place for foreign investment.

Ramaphosa is an enigma in that he is a very very rich man but also one who came from essentially a marxist past. I hope more for SA's sake than my own he left that far behind and is finally a worthy president for SA and the previous 3 clowns

The point Buffet was making was if you would not own a stock for 10 years you should not buy it ... NOT ... that you should own for 10 years. Conditions change, opportunities arise etc and selling early may well be a profitable thing to do.... but the initial decision to buy should be based on long term growth prospects and analysis.

That was my reading of his articles ... and that makes sense (at least to me)

There are some who if they own Bushveld another 5 years will have owned for 10 !.. if own for 5 years I will have owned nearly 8 from my first investment .... 5 years is not a lot of time in investo-land especially with a very embryonic business (Energy Storage)

hear you Serenus.... but lets remember we have not actually exceeded any of the targets.... so setting at 60,80 or 150 is neither hete nor there. I can't remember who posted a week or two back.pointing out the target/sp movement has sort of been in sync every 6 moths or so

@Expert .. exit strategy is for you to work out based on your risk factors .. no one on here can advise .. I would say though that I am not looking at selling anything any time soon - be a year until I can get at my SIPP and in a years time ... more than 50% of the cup entrants predict 100p.
