I think that is the vexing question of this year @Headancer !! ... my rational is 3 factors:

1. Low share liquidity (almost everything is owned in large blocks of by LTH's)
2. Politics of SA - despite the positive moves, SA is very unstable and may yet go down a very investor unfriendly route
3. Vanadium is just not sexy - it is almost exclusively used in steel making. Miners obtaining cobalt (for eg) fair much better as there is large expansion into 'sexy' electrification.

1 - I don't see this changing much really in the near-mid term and only perhaps as LTH's sell down in the future
2 - If (and it is still a fairly big if) Ramaphosa gets the charter through, puts the asset-gram marxists back in their box and starts attracting real international investors (not just china), then the risk factors in SA will reduce considerably
3. As VFRB starts to gain wider traction, vanadium will get more sexy especially as it is found to be rather rarer in the quantities and purities that seemingly reported.

Go back to the track running metaphor ... we are just rounded the first bend of lap 2, had a stumble and now getting back into stride again .... a long long way to go yet

appart from their dogmatic sticking to a long term low vanadium price... what else is a problem ..... we have almost never hit their targets befire they get revised. I just dont care what they say anymore... eventually... the cash flow & profit will work in

as the holding gets more valuable, only sensible to realise some gain .. no-one is going to hold forever. As for Nick, I think he said he has sold down for some family reasons (why not live a bit), but also so he had a chest of cash to buy back in to support the games. If I remember his posts that is what he has done.

in my wider family we have just under 4M shares.. am I going to hold indefinitely .. no ... I have a plan (that keeps being revised as risks come down and further value unlocked), but if/when the SP gets to 200+ I doubt I we will hold 10% of that number .... but that will still be 800 grand in one holding ...

Not sure why selling down and diversifying is an issue

good news in the sense that more shares released to a wider set of investors, and the RNS is an exchange legal requirement when crossing various holding %

no numpty .. there were 54 ... but of those 54 22 (now 23) have entered the new cup so far .. so lots of newbies
