that Greggs while not ignoring their bread and butter stuff are able to branch out.
"From the Evening Standard:
Who needs Clos Maggiore when you've got Greggs?
The chain of bakeries has teamed up with Opentable to do something a little different this Valentine's Day, by opening its doors to loved up Londoners to 'enjoy' a romantic, Lady & the Tramp-style candlelit dinner.
Taking place in honour of all things Cupid, Greggs stores up and down the country will be kitted out in all sorts of Valentine's paraphernalia: candelabras, white linen tablecloths (very posh), oodles of roses and maybe a hot waiter or two.
You won't have to order at the till, either. Instead, you'll be ushered to your seat while classical tunes hum in the background. Spot of Debussy, we hope. "
The company are also giving away a free sausage roll with a nationally syndicated newspaper. This newspaper chain gives very favourable coverage to Greggs and I suppose those who claim the food might return as paying customers or else buy a drink or something to wash it down.
Greggs are very clever at getting customers to fork out.
