RE: Divi H2 20219 Feb 2022 16:37
Tony, I respectfully ask you retract that offensive statement. I have never posted on CEO and only have ONE pseudonym.
Seems anyone who challenges your financial opinons is without knowledge.
My point earlier, which you clearly disagree, is the Company are retaining cash which would otherwise be distributed to shareholders.
Dividends are payed, by and large, from audited profits, occassionally from asset appreciation and sometimes (rarely) from creative accountancy.
I3e have payed dividends on a bi-annual basis, October and what should be April. The April payment from yr end 31st December and October from 1/2 yr end 30th June. The move to monthly or to be correct 10 equalised payments for a year, start in March and will conclude in October. The half yr to Dec would be made in early April when on the monthly basis only 2/10 will have been made. the remaining 3/10 will be retained by the company until July. There will be advanced payments until october, when the 1/2 yr div would be payed.
Those are the facts which if you do not agree then we will have to agree to disagree.
I have applauded the move to monthly as it will deter Traders and give greater stabilty to the SP, however some here have raised concerns over the change and how the H2 div will be covered. The explanations may bamboozle some but some of us do have a little more knowledge of accounts.
