Its mentioned in earlier post that oxford capital are dissolved, and yet their website seems to have an update from a few days ago ?
Search this product, and you will find a terpene tech product on sale. I dont think they are much good as a company, and i would prefer eden had had nothing to do with them, but the tw stuff is bull. fake company selling product, Better to look at edens more succesful products based on 3aey being sold through the big agro companies, this is where they will grow revenue a lot this year.
One of his buddies probably wants some shares on the cheap. Picked some up today, not expecting big news, but a good revenue at year end. So if it drifts lower, will pick up some more. I expect revenue for this year to cover costs, and maybe even show a modest profit. So i would like to build up a modest stake.
Reading through the report, activity on expanding in asia and europe if goes well will give improved future earnings. Pound is likely to stay wesk for a while yet. Will be increasing holding if it stays below 17p. Good call yanar. I took up two retailers, aly down, but gaw well up. So evens for me at the moment.
Better than i expected. I hope to see it at least hold around 830 to 850 for now. Once final results and final div are declared, we might find value is higher than the current sp. I looked over past history and we seem to be heading for better profit and div than when it reached 880 in the past.
Only time will tell :) Some diff from past 1. Boost to earnings from abroad due to lower pound will be around a while. Just opened up more far east stores. 2. Increase in Royalty income due to exposure to gaming ( Totalwar warhammer for example I think is one of them). These games continue to release add ons to be purchased, so royalties should continue. 3. Large mail order and small stores, not large work force, so impact of minimum wage and rates increase is managable. And final dividend yet to come, so likely to be 80p by end of year ? Where else in retail are you going to find a debt free company that pays such good dividends and well managed at present. I am tempted alsoto sell, but I think its premature at this time.
Will be interesting. 2016 revenue was mix of royalty and own production profit. Take the same 85000 litre, that would provide 850k of revenue. Then add sales growth and new French sales. Would be looking for in excess of 1 million. With cash in bank of over 1 million, do not expect further placing this year.
Hello Feeks. Eden have not given up licence for royalty. They recieved royalty from 3rd party producer of their product which then went to the distributor. So they got 0.9 euro per litre. Now they will be the producer themselves and make a larger profit, 10 euro per litre. If for instance, they cannot meet demand, they always have option of licencing again to another producer and getting the royalty. I think this is correct, if not someone will point this out, .
This is greAt news, glad i picked up some again last week and did not delay longer, had hoped to get another buy in before this news, but cant always get what you want. As its already doing well in Spain and Italy, i hope to see good sales from the go for france.
If price shows further weakness, is it worth increasing my holding in ALY ? Looking back over the yearly reports, they have managed very well, having sorted out a struggling business, the current team have made a profit and paid a dividend every year since 2005. Between 2006 and 2016, it has been no lower than 1p and as high as 3.5p. 2009 to 2010, during the financial crises, they still manged a healthy return and paid 1p in 2010. At 20p per share, it would have still been a healthy 5% dividend at the low point. Full record is 2006 0.5p (Dividend reinstated for first time since 1997) 2007 1p 2008 1.75p 2009 2p 2010 1p 2011 1.5p 2012 2p 2013 2p 2014 3.5p (includes special div) 2015 2p 2016 2.5p 74 wk year due to change of reporting calender.
GAW will have paid out three times 3/06/16 20p 02/12/16 25p 03/03/17 30p 75p in one tax year. 55p for the GAW reporting year compared with 40p previous year. 37.5% increase. Share price up 55% since this time last year. Great results for any long term holders.
7% higher profit, 200p lower price that this time last year, seems undervalued ? I will keep hold of these for the dividend. 2017 outlook is ok, does not seem to warrant current valuation.
I only hold three retail related shares, and this is my favourite. High roce, high dividend and no debt. When the market finally turns, its the companies loaded with debt that will go down the pan. So i see gaw as a safe investment compared to most other retailers in the long term, its why i decided to buy. I am hoping final will be 25p minimum if this progress is maintained making 50p + for the year.
BRC - Sales rose 1% in December from the year earlier, on a like-for-like basis. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/jan/10/uk-retail-sales-christmas-economy Maffoo, what exactly have you found during research to indicate a likely price last reached as a result of the financial crises when all retailers suffered along with the whole economy ? 2017 forcast is based on a small uptick in inflation (very likely) and a drop in real earnings as wages fail to keep pace (yet to be proved). I do'nt expect any panic selling to pull price down to 16p, let alone 10p unless Laura actual post bad results. It will continue to bounce around 19 to 20p until results are released.
Reply from eden investor relations (surprised to get it back so quick), walbrook pr. They will bring this up with the excutive team with regards to future updates. Whilst I will not hold my breath, I hope we will see something about terpene techs progress in future from Eden ! Ceiling cat, Have you googled sipcam 3logy, or sipcam ARAW. You can see a lot of sales activity, particulary in Italy. I suspect the 20% market share was italy as they did a lot of road shows to inform the industry of the product. The level of promotion, and success is one reason why I will be happy to take another holding later. I have spent more time investing eden and following their progress and activity than any other holding I have had. With regards your comment, waiting for good news, my experience of aim is that the one way to not make any money is to wait for the news, by then the share price is often hyped up, and its overvalued. I mainly stay away from aim shares as they are very hard to valuie and get manipulated somewhat at times. I have only sirius minerals now. I think risk / reward is acceptable for Eden if price is below 11p at current time. However, I am surely no expert by any means !! cheers
Merry Christmas to all, and look gorward to a good year. For eden, 2017 will be good i suspect. Goodnight, or where i am, its good morning.
I reluctantly sold my stake, I wanted cash to buy sirius minerals shares. However i fully intend to buy again into eden. I will continue to monitor progress. If i have doubt about a company, i dont buy and i dont comment, if i have stake, i sell it. It is surprising how many people make negative comments, if thats the case, why waste your time on a company you do not like ? I also try avoid ramping, but will defend a stock if i feel it is being targeted by the unscrupulous. i am not trying to get others to buy so i can make a quick buck, or to sell so i can pick up cheap. There are many on the BB who seem to think people cannot see them for what they are. Sadly if a stock is illiquid, they can make a difference.
Eden will continue to increase markets for 3aey and increase revenue, they are closer to breakeven than some think. Have enough cash to avoid another placing for now, maybe one more, but from 2018 revenues will be large enough to cover costs. It is hard for a small company like eden to get a new tech into the sector, regulatory time scale and cost are much easier to handle if you have deep pockets. So to progress to actual sales is a big achievement. From here they will only get stronger and will become profitable. Once profitable, i would not be surprised if they take back other market areas such as the headlice treatment if no progress has been made and manage it themselves, or take over terpene tech to same effect.
Hello ceiling cat, i have sent an email to edens investor relations, asking about progress of terpene tech. afterall holders of edens stock by default have a stake in terpene also. Their wesite is poor, information is lacking, but ghen they are not a listed company and actual sales are through 3rd parties. Not impressed though. Will post detail of any reply. I might tfy terpene tech again ic no answer, but would prefer reply from exen.
I can understand concerns ceiling cat. Agreement was to allow terpene tech to use edens technology to develop a product and get approvals. This will take time, however some news should have been forthcoming. Reply i had from them was that they were working to register the headlice product and talking with potential distributors. How long does it take to get regulatory approval for new medicines ? Revenues were lower than i hoped, but still a good start. with further market approvsls and greater matket share, i would hope to see the suggested revenues reached. And there is scope to cover more crops eith further trials, strawberries for instance. So revenues will grow, it is after all the first year its moved from developement to actual product revenue.
