Good question. Folk use populist expressions, narrative and piggy back on others words and terminology in an attempt to put forward what is supposed to be a reasoned argument as to why 'the market' has got it wrong. In most cases these arguments are just pure drivel and fantasy. Currently the bloke behind the 'market' keyboard believes that the current Sp x shares in issue reflects the value of the company. Whether mr or mrs punter thinks the price should be 10 x what the 'market' believes is a matter of conjecture, opinion, guesswork, belief, hope, desperation. Only time will tell and with hindsight, we can look back and join the dots and realise why things are what they are. You can't join the dots looking forwards unless you are a time traveller. Best to decide whether you think the price will go up or down based upon your own fantasy and drivel--oh sorry, 'belief'.
