I hold in my ii ISA and SIPP. In the ISA it gets paid in Sterling and shows as an obvious transaction. But in my SIPP it doesn’t, it only shows in a separate USD “wallet”. Perhaps check your cash wallet, especially if there is a separate one for each currency???

So according to the relevant LSE page, the only short left open is JPM @ 0.98%.

I’m guessing this is terrible because it’s less than the water companies asked for and joyous because the fear and dread of uncertainty (he said the U word!) is removed.

HICL already at year lows - today will be interesting then.

Water bills are set to rise by an average of £31 per year over five years from April, the industry regulator has said.

Yes it has been really frustrating recently. I’ve been adding more shares as it’s gone down, to the point where it’s now around 15% of my SIPP! Squeaky bum time in a way, but I know that HICL has assets and management of extremely high quality. It’s just the SP that’s dysfunctional, due to interest rates and gilt returns etc. Be patient - sell if you want but doing so at these lows with the income being so secure would be bonkers? Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I for one have been taking some profits out here over the last few days. The SP is hopefully on a sustainable upwards trajectory but as we all know, it will be anything but a straight line.

My method is to rebalance to a fixed amount (£15k currently) whenever it reaches £14k or £16k. It smooths out some of the bumps - and DEC is an ideal share to play this game with.

What is the $ currency risk for shareholders? All costs are in dollars and I thought all gas n oil revenues were as well? A weak dollar means the dividend devalues a bit. But what else?

And it’s surprising how a few years of compounded 8% yield can make a modest capital loss on initial investment like MUCH better. Income seems super safe here and debt fixed @ modest rates. Much to be positive about, I keep adding along the bumpy bottom.

In a few years we’ll be kicking ourselves for not filling our socks at these prices. Even NatWest delivered handsomely in the end! And this is a much stronger proposition.

I’ve tried not to worry about the shorts. The OakBloke has helped in that regard tbh, his objective (ish!) breakdowns are reminders of why I’m invested here. Cashflow etc. etc.

Even one of my largest and boringest (!) holdings - SUPR (Supermarket REIT) - has a well-known US shorter these days apparently. Despite low, well managed LTV, sensible growth and now a 9% yield due to the ridiculous SP. Sound familiar? Assume the de-rampers will remain absent here today …?

Thanks Steph. I still recommend trading GROW around a base £ amount, topping up and trimming by any meaningful movements. I have £5k and sell £1k at £6k and buy £1k at £4k. Happens surprisingly often with GROW!!

Well I thought that at recent higher prices so would argue “yes” ! However if it’s a lot of money it might be wise to invest gradually during this temporary downturn? And/or look at others as well to spread the risk. Eg BBGI and INPP are very established, high yielding, consistent and well managed with minimal gearing. BBGI is spread well geographically as well - think INPP is too but not 100% sure. All the best.

I’ll be interested to see if this page receives much traffic. Are there many CRT investors out there? I hold quite a lot (£15k) of THRL and I’m considering selling some and buying in here. Any views? Both seem to be well run with generous yields. THRL is certainly extremely well managed and forward-looking. Thanks 🙏🏻
