Yes, ive seen a document (public) that states that the decision will be delegated. This is not unusual for projects that have so many conditions and with many of the longstanding issues either addressed or covered by such conditions, PP will be granted on the 20th, or very soon after.
To be honest, Im suprsed to see the 1m from BA and Shell. The F4C is a match funding grant, so you'd have thought BA and Shell would have waited a bit. That said, with all thats going on, I suspect VLS could really wait and reached out to BA and Shell to help move things along. Either that, or the 1m investment (which you'll note has a june 30th cut-off for payment), might be classified as match funding, IF the F4C get around to awarding the grant. If that is the case, one could therefore assume that VLS can expect another 1m coming in the door very soon.

As you know, my time horizon for self gain stops as soon as PP is achieved. After that point, it'll be over to the banks and you know my position on that topic. Until then, I'll continue to buy on dips until the end of the month with PP is due (via delegated approval might I add, not through committee)

Nobody is floating anything for a pound a share. This 1 quid is to grant an option to acquire third of the project company at some point in the future.
The other part of this RNS is that BA and Shell have put in 500k each to support VLS with the program - this will most likely be to keep the lights on for another 6 months and in return, they get the option to own a third of the project company.

I commend Mr Hird. Clearly he’s somewhat miffed by the fact that the drainage plan (his subject matter) is being continually changed due to other changes being brought on by other consultees.
Until VLS fix the layout, our Mr Hird isn’t backing down. Be like Mr Hird.

Just to state that i see little or no facts that support the chances of either the US or UK plants being built. My 'facts' are based on experience in the WtE field, the historic instability of VLS management, a lack of development experience, the high cost of the project (probably more than double the costs of the SHB project over the road), lack of present day capital, poor track record of raising capital other than a SP depressing share issue, and the lack of full process testing. These are all attributes that a lender looks for in a developer.

PP will be granted within weeks.
Plant will never be built due to many issues, mainly around risks and costs.

And I can bet you that once this EfW is permitted, they'll sell it (the efw bit)

I think the benefits of the area is somewhat a moot point. The only benefit i can see is a relatively supportive planning environment (yes, i did say that). Other than that, there is no large conurbation nearby from which to get your waste, so itll be coming from afar. The upside is that the land is cheap, which will prolong the VLS cash reserve a touch longer before all the Management are shirtless.

This company is not choosing the area per se. They have been there for many years, This waste to energy endevour is a recent move for them.

No objections to revised effluent, however highlighted the important fact that the discharge is now reliant on the SHB Power station.

Advice to the applicant – environmental permitting
While the amended proposal for the discharge assists the progress of the planning application, it would mean that the new plant and South Humber Bank Power Station would be technically connected in terms of an environmental permit. The operator would be reliant on the power station to ensure the outfall was maintained, and if the power station were to close before the new plant in the future, it could become impossible to discharge the effluent. The applicant will need to take care in planning for and protecting against such eventualities.

Whilst this does no directly affect the PP, i doubt if the Legal team of SHB will be too happy having VLS hanging off their effluent system. I suspect the contracts will state no responsibility for consequential damages, should the SHB be no longer available. The impact on this from a VLS financing perspective will be negative. To finance a plant, based on a Permit that relies completely on someone else's outfall will be difficult. The fact is, is that there is no other apparent technical option, other than using the SHB outfall. Will be difficult to finance.

I think the sp will spike to around 10p once the PP is secured. It will however, be incredibly short lived once speculative investors do their homework and realize the money to actually build it won’t be appearing. Imho
