Put yourself in the shoes of a sacked BA employee. A month after shes laid off, she opens the paper and reads that BA have spent 5million pounds on an unproven technology rather than core business needs during a time of core business focus, I don't think she'd be too happy and neither would be the shareholders. For once, take your head out of the clouds and consider the reality of the situation we now find ourselves in.
Sure, things will get better, and investments will restart - however with VLS on the continual breadline and the extremely remote chance of any cheques being written anytime soon, I don't see a bright near term future for the company. imho, of course.
And not, you didn't touch a nerve. Is the D key really that close to the B key?. Thought not.
