No games here unfortunately for you. From their website, they state that the gasification plants are designed according to the waste that will be used as the raw material of the plant. There does not appear to be any operating case studies for household waste, only homogeneous wastes such as agri, forest and olive waste .

Like others in this space, where are the operating examples?

Agreed. If you look at the project applicant (SkyEnergy), they seem to be making a habit of applying for grant funding, none of which previous funded EU projects have yet to come of anything. Reminds me of companies I used to work with - they were experts grant applicants and lived off the 'revenue' from grant funders.

Everything seems to be predicated on the Wood situation. Assuming their report comes back glowing, it'll be all systems go. If it doesn't, then its probably curtains.

Wood need to complete their technology and market review first. Only if these prove positive, then there is a chance that Wood to become more than just a supplier. The reports were due end of 2020, so are late.

RRB have an additional FT supplier. They are just hedging their bets on both them and VLS. Having agreements for both suppliers may have been part of the risk mitigation for project financing.

Ive made nicer comments. I'm merely pointing out the state of the market that VLS is penetrating. People want in, even if they don't fully understand the challenges.

The company hasn't changed much, if at all in the last few months. However, the market that it is aiming to penetrate, has. Its all about lowering carbon footprints from now going forward. Those companies that are in the space, even ones early stage like VLS, will be well supported.

trade the news from here on in. There are several newsworthy developments coming this year. Heres another one:

We will run a £15 million competition to support the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) in the UK, building on the success of the Future, Fuels for Freight and Flight Competition. We will establish a SAF clearing house, the first of its kind in Europe, to enable the UK to certify new fuels, driving innovation in this space. Alongside this, we intend to consult on a Sustainable Aviation Fuel mandate to blend greener fuels into kerosene, which will create a market-led demand for these alternative fuels."

The problem with VLS is that they don't do enough investor engagement. Quiet for months, then they drop a huge announcement which spikes the price and promotes profit taking. They should keep us more informed on what going on.

The EQT model is the same as VLS. Licensing, build,-own-operate etc. VLS

Both EQT and VLS will produce syngas from wastes - its the bio content of the waste that is converted to syngas that helps the environment. Even repurposing plastics to makes syngas helps, as you are not using crude oil and releasing new carbon into the atmosphere.

Sense. Hasn't BA already intended to take the fuel from AltAlto? Maybe thats only an agreement in principle and subject to a formal agreement. as you allude to.
Having an off take in place, ticks off one of the key project conditions for financing. That would be a significant development.

The RAF mention reminds me of what Fulcrum managed to do in the US. They bagged $70m from the department of defense. Would be good for VLS if they could mirror such a move...
