IVe been reflecting on recent events surrounding SAF. The VLS>Shell departure, BA and Lanzajet, and Essar and Fulcrum.
The recent announcements from Lanzajet and Fulcrum, whilst on the face of it are a disaster for VLS, who once had the entire UK market to themselves, its actually very positive. It demonstrates that the UK market is a good one for such ambitious project endeavors and this should bode well for investor sentiment. That said, VLS need to up their game immediately, otherwise they'll become stale. Its like trying to sell your house on the market and have no buyer interest - eventually it becomes stale and people refocus on the new housing stock that begins to appear. VLS need to clean the house, stage it, and relaunch it with some news to get those buyers interested.
