He said that he cannot advance on the projects until it is announced. "Let's wait for the announcement that they (Tesla) are going to make, but you do have to think that it is an ecosystem, it is a company that has a very important added value."
You should read the info from the head of LitioMx Pablo Taddei via bloomberg linea it is already confirmed they are negotiating with Ganfeng because Ganfeng licenses are valid and cannot be taken away.

The decree published Saturday by the economy ministry said that "the rights and obligations of the holders of mining concessions in force that are within the lithium mining reserve zone remain safe."
More hints of Tesla Mining kicking off soon
(Reuters) -U.S.-listed shares of Sigma Lithium Corp rose 21% in extended trading on Friday after Bloomberg News reported that Tesla Inc was weighing a takeover of the Canada-based battery metals miner.
Tesla has been speaking with potential advisers about a bid, the report said, citing people with knowledge of the matter, and added that Sigma Lithium is one of the many mining options the electric-vehicle maker is exploring as it mulls its own refining.

Tesla will unveil its “Master Plan Part 3” at “Investor Day” on March 1
Tesla has previously said that Master Plan Part 3 is “all about achieving very large scale” in vehicle and battery pack production, including mining and refining, enough to “actually shift the entire energy infrastructure of earth.” Tesla has recently considered getting into mining, which could end up being part of the master plan update, and is rumored to be looking to build a factory in Mexico as well.
Mexico's top diplomat says met with Tesla brass, 'good news' imminent
MEXICO CITY, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Tuesday he met with senior executives from electric automaker Tesla, teasing that "good news" is on the way, as speculation runs high over expected high-stakes investment decisions.
Ebrard met with Rohan Patel, Tesla's senior global director of public policy and business development, and Eugenio Grandio, director of business development and policy for Latin America, Mexico's senior diplomat wrote in a post on Twitter.
He did not go into further detail over what Tesla announcements are imminent.
Two local locations are primed for a potential Tesla plant, the country's president said last week, which would mark a major advance for Mexico's well-established auto sector.
The Mexican government has recently been pushing international automakers to expand electric vehicle production. Ebrard told Reuters earlier this month that Mexico was gearing up to build several manufacturing hubs for electric vehicles across the country.

Tesla to expand operations to Mexico, official says:
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Electric automaker Tesla has chosen Mexico as a location to expand its operations, and Tesla head Elon Musk will speak with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Mexico's top diplomat said Friday.
Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said the date of the call between Musk and Lopez Obrador would be given later Friday afternoon. He declined to name the specific location for Tesla's Mexico expansion.
According to recent statements, the government is open to working with private companies but every project has to be developed alongside LitioMx, which will hold the largest stake, according to Pablo Taddei, Director General, LitioMx.
Taddei has also mentioned that the government was considering giving tax incentives to attract more investors to lithium extraction. “These must be attractive partnerships both for them and for us. We are open to giving incentives so that it is a win-win relationship,” Taddei said.

The extraction of lithium in Sonora alone will generate an additional economic growth of 1% to the state's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which will only be achieved through a partnership between the state-owned Lithium for Mexico (LitioMX) and a private company, in this case China's Ganfeng Lithium.
There is no alternative, to reach the 10 billion pesos of production of this mineral expected in one year, the private initiative (IP) will be required, according to the researcher and doctor in Regional Development, Diego Alberto Avilés.

It’s not just those savings, of course they need NA supply for the inflation reduction act. The cost of having to stop production due to not enough lithium would be a huge cost to any of the oem’s and I don’t know why they would be willing to risk it, which is why we’re seeing GM making moves and the others surely won’t be far behind.
This is the head of LitioMX:
They don't know how to extract clay... "we are definitely going in a public-private partnership"
"We are in negotiations to see if they [Ganfeng] develop together or the concessions are returned to LitioMx or they can continue"
I don't see how "concessions being returned" helps them when on the other hand they are saying they don't have the capability to process clay. So that leaves in my opinion "develop together" (possibly 50/50) or "continue" (100% Ganfeng) both of which should be favourable outcomes for Cadence. Let's not forget that Ganfeng were wanting "Strategic Investment" so may well be happy for 50/50 at the right price.
"Slowly then Suddenly" is the phrase Howard Klein has been using.
The lack of interest from investors is crazy but this is all you need to know:
it (LitioMx) acknowledges that it lacks the capacity and technology, such as in the exploitation of lithium clay deposits.
”It is the most complicated. In this process we are definitely going in a public-private partnership”.
When questioned about the future of the concession of the British firm Bacanora Lithium with Chinese investment from
the firm Ganfeng, the manager mentions that the conversations are not limited to a single company but with people or
companies with concessions throughout the country.
”We are in negotiations to see if they develop together, we reach an agreement so that they are delivered, those
concessions are returned to LitioMx or they can continue. They have the right to that concession”.
LitioMx has also approached companies from the United States andCanada that have shown interest in associating, in
addition to companies from other parts of the American continent, however it preferred not to detail whether Tesla,
which is about to install a factory in the country, would be among those conversations.

WH Ireland think the current fair value is 71p, they also suggest Sonora is worth £67m which is 39p per share on it's own they apply a 20% risking to that so it accounts for 7.8p of the 71p. Should it materialise then add 31 to the 71 and they see us at 102p. We know Ganfeng are in talks an there is a handover of tenements at la ventana scheduled in 2 weeks.
