Tosh, my last for tonight:
You said: "I don’t trust anybody I haven’t met and I am not well acquainted with"
And yet a few lines above that you admit that your evidence for saying it was "100%" Oman was a guy you've never met. Not only that but you insisted upon it several times, over several days.
Also, even that doesn't seem to fully explain your post: "I’ve had it confirmed to me it is Oman on a few occasions now and by different reliable people, so wtf our contract entails and why it hasn’t landed yet I do not know. Switch off, hold, and be patient.”
"a few occasions" and "reliable people" are plural. You have only told us about 'Terry' and even he didn't fit your own definition of somebody you would trust.
No, I don't recall "reliable" Terry, but it is interesting that you were prepared to use "inside info" for your trading.
Yes, I'll get back to talking more 'BS' about things related to WSG RNSs (like the SPV) and you get back to posting about.... err..... "bedwetting"...
"AIM is full of snakes" - indeed
P.S. It took about 10 minutes to look back and find those posts of yours. Time well spent, it seems ;)
Re. SALAM at IKIA, are you “100%” sure [again! ;) ] that it “should be opening any time”? And that's just one of the two current terminals at IKIA, of course... Salam was originally planned to be used for pilgrimage flights but the most recent reference I've seen is that it is now intended for international flights.
If it's a completely different airport in Iran, so be it – it still involves waiting :)
Tosh, just had a quick look back and here are a couple of your posts from a few days before we – or certainly I - knew that the ME contract was in Iran:
30th April: “I’ve had it confirmed to me it is Oman on a few occasions now and by different reliable people, so wtf our contract entails and why it hasn’t landed yet I do not know. Switch off, hold, and be patient.”
18th April: “Knowing what I know, I’m happy to hold!”
1st May 2018: “ME deal is Oman”
2nd May: “It is 100% Oman”
3rd May: “AIM works in mysterious ways, it’ll either hit 30p or £3. Nothing in between”
One question: Were all of those posts “for entertainment purposes only"?
I don't trust you (or many other IDs on here) - pretty straightforward. Apologies if that comes across as me not sharing your “sense of humour” :)
Jeez, what are you on about, Tosh!?
It interested me to see the Chilean story too but if you Google the search term referring to WSG on that page i.e. "Westminster Aviation Security Services", you can find the Chilean page easy enough.
So it looks like a simple Google search threw it up. It's also a Chilean Government website, so are you accusing Eskers of hacking them too!? I think you owe him an apology.
I wonder how many of your 2354 posts have contributed useful information to these boards...
wrt East Africa, we don't (officially) know which country, let alone airport, so there is less to go on. The clients of these opportunities seem to be against giving too much away - understandable as it is security after all.
I have a list of potential candidates: Madagascar (Ivato), Mozambique (Maputo), Tanzania (Karume), Zambia (Kenneth Kaunda) and Zimbabwe (Harare). Some seem more likely than others. Happy to discuss...
Seeing as you evidently read this board in detail, you will also recall my post from 10th March:
"Secondly, as has happened previously there seems to be pressure to say that it's opening soon (for political reasons) and then they have to quietly revise those time-frames as the previous deadlines approach(!) The most recent statement I have read is for an opening date "in the Spring and before June." This was by a board member of the airport company."
We're still within that bracket. Of course they may have to "quietly revise" that time-frame too and that was my point (to Vander, I think). As I and now others have also mentioned, they still don't appear to have finished the terminal yet. Can you see it being operational within much less than 8 weeks, bearing in mind the required testing and staffing? Do you think the operator and airlines will have all the new staff employed now, and trained up whilst the terminal is not ready? Was I correct, therefore, to suggest that the terminal was not as ready as some wanted us to believe a few days/weeks ago (in order to create panic)?
You said "i'll be back in the red here very shortly" when the SP was at 8.25p. Was that a lie? Because you're now saying "I am now just in the red", and the SP is still 8.25p. Also, if you've "bought in at various price points" but held "thorough the entire boat debacle" that would imply that you bought in between 8th December 2011 and 17th January 2012 (before the Iran contract was ever even conceived) and possibly again in May 2016 - conveniently right at the lowest SP. Okaaaay... ;) There doesn't seem to be any other possible way that you could have an average at ~8.25p. So you previously bought when sentiment was at it's historical lowest and everyone else was panicking but now are panicking yourself!? This also means that you have sat on the money for 7 years and refused a ~10-bagger when the price went up to 93p in late 2013. Hmmmm ;)
Not sure that I believe you, or that you will post anything of any significance, so please don't be offended if I don't engage with you further :)
Here's a link that I can share: https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2019/03/us-announce-new-sanctions-iran-negotiating-table.html
"Asked by Al-Monitor if there was any progress in efforts to try to get Iran back to the negotiating table, the first US official said that talking about any such diplomatic overtures, if they exist, would be unhelpful. But he said the administration hopes that it will eventually get to the table with Iran as it has with North Korea.
“I’m not in a position to talk about any particular diplomatic overtures,” the first senior US administration official said. “It tends to make them less useful where they exist, and one wouldn’t want to create false promises or false hopes either if they don’t exist.”"
Such overtures could bode well for future business with Iran too - how many airports!?
:)
Eh, CBB!? At what price did you buy then, if you're not in the red now, at 8.25p?
And why will you wait until you ARE in the red before selling, if you think this will never 'come good' and that there is going to be a fund raise soon!? Lol.
If you must de-ramp, at least TRY to make it sound logical or semi-believable - even 'Hoofhearted', etc. were better than that effort! ;)
I said that, based on what I've read, I think Iran could move after the Iranian New Year. Even Vander now seems to get what I meant by not seeing any completed terminal pictures for those ORAT trials yet! ;) It will be interesting to read the full details of that upcoming 'safety plan' at IKIA too...
P.S. Sorry, Alias but it wasn't me with the research this morning :)
At one point yesterday we had almost exactly 26k buys v 26k sells - both broken down into chunks. It's almost like somebody is playing around with an illiquid share in-between news...
I'm a shareHOLDER, so either.
Your post on 28th February: "Has *our* new Chair bought any shares with his own wonga?"
;)
Just stuff like the Iranians having set up their side of the SPV/INSTEX mechanism referred to in our recent RNSs. A few other bits about the Salam terminal, handing over services to private companies at IKAC, Iranians saying they'd be open to 'negotiating other issues' once the Yemen situation is resolved, etc. :)
Wow, 23.52 last night and straight back on it at 08.08 this morning - very long shifts atm. All for a share that he hates. Imagine how that time could be spent more usefully... or maybe this is useful for his agenda(!) ;)
Funnily enough, I do remember seeing a similar character going through a similar public meltdown on the BMN board back in the 4-2p days... :)
Good to see Dr. Vander (presumably) logging straight on after work yesterday too: Posting 2014 RNS quotes at 17.09! What time must he have clocked-off to look back, find that and then post it for 17.09? Must have been on his mind all day and needed his urgent attention. Or maybe he was on yet another holiday/working nights all of a sudden...
Pointless engaging (I've also noticed the way anything positive is forced down the board by multiple short posts of little value atm) but I do like to periodically point out the strangeness! And no, I won't be sharing those links with you, Vander :)
Play on!
I saw recently that a Germany-based company just did some consultation work/training sessions on achieving certain accreditation at IKIA (not security, I must add!). Not keen to provide a link (for obvious reasons) but it was the first such thing I have read about there.
Also, the Iranian New Year is on 21st March, and I read that the start of economic operations in the Free Zone of the airport will begin soon after that, that there will be a 'safety plan' put forwards and that the 'treaties and contracts office' will be involved...
Of course, it's not guaranteed that these two things link to our contract and, as ever, such promises of dates from Iran should be taken with a pinch of salt(!), but it does sound like a few things will be coming together over there 'soon'...
It's been "due to open" for a while, as you well know. In fact, I'm pretty sure that somebody mentioned that when you asked last time. And the time before that ;)

"Renault will return to Iran - official
15 March 2019 09:28 (UTC+04:00)"
Very interesting if accurate.
Yes, that was encouraging news, Slippz. I guess that they must have got the permission from OFAC they were seeking for those aeroplanes? https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2019/02/02/1937620/iran-air-chief-atr-applies-for-us-permission-to-deliver-iran-planes Another concession if so, and this time it's in our sector :)
We know that Iran are very keen to improve their aviation sector and bring it up to international standards, in order to encourage tourism and diversify their economy. They mentioned just yesterday that they will be working with "international consultants" at the IKAC, for example.
Also, it looks like several foreign-made items are starting to get into Iran (not just those aeroplanes!).
https://en.mehrnews.com/news/143311/Iran-E3-to-discuss-INSTEX-in-Tehran-today
"Iran, E3 to discuss INSTEX in Tehran today
TEHRAN, Mar. 12 (MNA) –Tehran will be hosting on Tue. a fresh round of expert talks between Iranian experts and representatives from France, Germany, UK and EU about the implementation of the EU’s trade mechanism for Iran called INSTEX.
In this meeting, the latest status of the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX) and its corresponding institution in Iran will be discussed by expert delegations from Iran, France, Germany, UK and the EU.
INSTEX is a special-purpose vehicle established in January 2019 by France, Germany and the United Kingdom to facilitate non-dollar trade with Iran in a bid to bypass US sanctions.
The Tuesday meeting will also cover discussions on ways of cooperation between the two institution, how businesses will be using the trade mechanism, and a review on the next steps aimed at expanding the area of activities within INSTEX to other trade and related fields.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries and related organizations, as well as representatives of the political and economic sectors of the European Union and the INSTEX's president, Per Fischer.
Meanwhile, the French embassy in Tehran posted a tweet on Monday about the meeting, saying “E3 Heads of Missions welcome INSTEX's president, Per Fischer, to Tehran. Important step to discuss with Iranian counterparts [on] how to make the EU-Iran trade mechanism operational!”"
MTPocket. That's similar to my list but I also think Seychelles and Tanzania (x2) had airports that fit with the 400k number (off the top of my head). I will compare to what I have written down about 2015 "political issues" in East African countries when I get a chance!
'Vander', I take issue with you on several things but especially your 7.42am post today:
"Salam is due to become operational in less than 3 weeks
Wsg still do not have an executed contract. They are not involved in orat"
I believe that you are wide of the mark on two of those points.
Firstly, there will be more than one phase of testing at the Salam Terminal, as stated recently by the officials responsible for it. What they seem to be calling 'inital testing' does not appear likely to cover all of the ORAT components and may have been announced for political purposes. For example, I've not seen convincing evidence that everything is fitted yet. For starters, you can guarantee that they would be proudly posting pictures and video of working equipment all over the media if it were finished! In fact, from what I have read in public statements of those involved, 10% of the equipment to be fitted will be "foreign" sourced and certain fire safety equipment is an example of one of the components which have been "delayed" recently...
I'm guessing that fire safety is a pretty important facet of ORAT and general airport-readiness trials – fire safety will be linked to the computer and management systems, etc. So, whilst some inital 'trials' appear to have started, I find it hard to believe that all of the ORAT trials are happening right now, in an unfinished terminal, seemingly without all of the safety (and, presumably, the linked computer, management software, security, etc.) equipment fitted – it wouldn't make sense.
Secondly, as has happened previously there seems to be pressure to say that it's opening soon (for political reasons) and then they have to quietly revise those time-frames as the previous deadlines approach(!) The most recent statement I have read is for an opening date "in the Spring and before June." This was by a board member of the airport company. So your comment about "operational in less than 3 weeks" appears to have been superseded.
Therefore, I am not suprised that we haven't heard about an "executed contract" just yet...
