Btw, my NPV numbers are post corporate tax (German level is 29.9%). It's probable we get some tax relief on the German plant e.g. capital allowances, R&D deductions etc. but I don't know about the German tax system to make any assumptions, so have just applied the full 29.9%. In other words, the numbers are likely to be better than my analysis suggests.

Indeed S&S. If it's not mentioned in the results tomorrow, I think we need to start asking some serious questions about comms.

Yeh, plugging the 750tpa into my discounted cashflow model for our share of the German plant I get an increase in NPV from $146m to $314m (that's for our 72% share). This doesn't take into account additional capex for the plant upgrade, which could be grant funded given how important it is for the EU supply chain. If we did assume $10m additional capex (think current plant is about $10m in capex from memory) then our share of NPV is still north of $300m.

Think Myles figures are slightly wrong, in that existing capacity is 350tpa rather than 320tpa (according to latest company presentation).

Disagree with this. Look at Aya Gold and Silver yesterday on the TSX - market cap around £1.4bn. Released some great drill holes and was up 14%. Granted it was a very good day for Gold and Silver stocks in Canada anyway, but I'd say the majority of the increase was based on the drill holes. I am a holder there but think Greatland's update was better.

I think so yeh, from memory it was pre-Tyseley opening. We should be getting the Q3 results on Friday. Looking for some proper updates in them, particularly on UK plant and SPAC timetable.

I was thinking the same last night Sigas, really brought home the feeling that this recent pull back from highs was probably first and foremost driven by the delay to the SPAC listing (as well as the US China deal and fall in RE stocks generally). Cotec had a similar pull back but have completely turned this around now and are back to near ATH's. Tbf they have not risen anywhere near as much as us in the last 12 months though, so you could have made an argument that they were more undervalued. May consider swapping some Cotec shares for Mkango ones if it continues, though I would prefer not to as my holding there is a lot smaller than here.

Btw, Cotec flying again. Up over 10% and near recent ATH. Looking for us to play some catch up!

Well looks like the reversal was down to 3x 50k sells within four minutes, with a 30k to boot a few minutes later. But after a slew of great posts from people over the last few days and a rewatch of JT's presentation, I'm feeling very chipper.

Yes, I've seen a few chartists point this out. With supportive economic data in tow, we could be off to the races again.

Polymarket currently have it at 86% likelihood for a 25bp cut in December, and there doesn't appear to be any other big data to come between now and the decision, so yes, looks very likely. Will be interesting to see whether Gold continues sideways consolidation for a while at this level or breaks out again to the upside now there is increasing certainty of a rate cut. Copper up 2% today, which is also nice for us.

Came in at expectations (2.7%), so I guess the market is saying no upside surprise is good for a December rate cut. If it had been above expectations I reckon we would have seen a bit of a sell off in Gold. But the reaction is reasonably muted as it wasn't a beat, and the inflation rate is still 2.7%, so still leaves a bit of doubt around a December cut.

Not sure it was Nasdaq related, but watching L2 I would expect some big delayed reported sells to turn up from 1.12pm and 1.17pm today. There was a massive shift by MM's on L2. If none do turn up, then that tells you all you need to know about MM behaviour / tactics. We've had lots of chunky buys today so it's disappointing to see it drop back on no reported trades.

US PPI announcement at 1.30pm UK time, let's see what impact it has on the Gold price.
