Lb, so you’ve just plucked imaginary figures from the ether, fair enough, lol, but yes, I appreciate your concern about funding. It is a puzzle. We know that the Plot 1 site is large enough for us to scale up operations gradually though and Grafintec continues to be supported by Business Finland. I would say perhaps we start small and scale up then, but that is my opinion. Taken from today’s RNS:

“ Beowulf Mining’s 100 per cent owned subsidiary Grafintec is recognised in Finland as one of the main companies in the anode space and continues to be supported by Business Finland, the Finnish governmental organization for innovation funding and investments.“

Funding. First port of call, go to Business Finland with our plans? Before we begin making guesses as to how much everything is likely to cost BEM itself, if at all. I’m pleased we have a project here with the support of the Fin Gov business arm. It’s a promising start.

It mentions in the RNS about a MOU commercial arrangement for the short-term with a natural flake graphite provider. Another option possibly would be to produce the anode and give them a percentage of the profits for supplying the flake. Once we’ve sourced a buyer, if not FREYR. Securing a buyer before producing is obviously the key.

Today’s news has certainly got your juices flowing though Lb, lol. It’s important for shareholders to view any news with caution, especially with our experience from the Kal saga, but this shouldn’t always be at the expense of our optimism.

Today’s news, we have a chance to be right there in the mix at Plot 1. I like the sound of it. Also that Kurt believes Grafintec will make real progress by mid-year. He’s put his head on the block again, which I’m chuffed about and I give him credit for that.

Let’s see how it goes now then Lb. I’ll also bear in mind with your posts though, that you don’t have the fear of missing out.

Lb, certainly an indication to some of those answers are within the RNS, in my opinion. The main purpose of it today though was to inform us that we’ve secured a site.

I was very pleased with today’s RNS. There is a lot of useful info within which links everything together at this stage I reckon. A reminder also that Grafintec was allocated a significant amount of grant money in 2021 with three objectives which they are working towards. Kurt mentions significant progress by mid-year and we have a MOU with a named supplier to use as a short-term flake graphite supplier for the GAMP while we push for the permit on our own proven resource at Aitolampi. The idea, it very much seems, being to supply the GAMP eventually with our own proven reserves. Nothing is guaranteed re who we sell the anode to, but we also know from today, that Plot 1 is right near where the battery cell producer FREYR will be located. Dare I say it, that’s handy. Grafintec, as is mentioned in the RNS, has seen an opportunity re this plot 1 location.

I would be quite happy for this project to receive further monies from our current fundraise, if it means we can really make a good go of it this year. We could all do with a bit of a lift, I’m sure.

Promising news today anyhow, and the RNS was only really to tell us about securing Plot 1, but some very useful additional info provided, to give us a bit more of an idea about what’s occurring there.

Hi Sooz. Thanks for the reply. Yes, so with Finland it’ll be 2026 I think without the mining stage of the project. With Kal brought forward. Yep. It was interesting to hear Kurt mention the permitting processes in Finland and what could be improved upon.

I’m hoping we kick on up from the 2p mark once the placing is done. Then we can hopefully focus on the work the company is doing. I guess we must see how we go.

You know my thoughts, I just want this to come right for us. If we get a fair partner with a decent deal then I’m all for it. But it is still uncertain as to how this may go. I’d actually like to work for BEM to fight our corner. That’s how I feel about it Sooz. It’s frustrating to see what’s occurred here since we gained the concession.

Anyway, PFS. Yes, let’s get on with it.

Waiting for nine years has definitely taken its toll, as Kurt mentioned, it’s sapped BEM’s energy, and obviously that of many shareholders. I’m still not sure what he will do to accomplish the positive change in our fortunes. He’s only said that he’ll do better, without saying how. That’s why I’m asking what people think about the how.

How long before the sp climbs back into safer territory, well at least over 3p? How do you feel Kurt and the team can drive momentum via news and put us in a better position?

Do you actually feel we may be sold this year, to LKAB, for example, or will we go through until 2026 to execute the current plan? The concern being dilution along the way.

I’d rather we were sold, as it might just be that many shareholders don’t have bottomless money reserves set aside to cover the dilutive effect for the next three years. Unless we can secure backing without the detriment. Then I’d be happy to see us go all the way.

Hi Aug. My concern is, considering the fundraise discount of 46% given on this occasion, a partner at what cost to existing shareholders? That would be the question. You recently mentioned, if I’m correct, the inability to say “no!” in any negotiation situation, means really that said entity is not actually negotiating at all. Instead, it remains vulnerable, open to a potential fleecing.

I am worried about this, going forward. The lack of playing hard ball from our side, on the behalf of existing shareholders. I mean, nobody from within the management team of BEM prevented us offering a 46% discount. So, what power we can wield in any negotiation at all is a worry for me. Even though we clearly have a premium asset and mining concession to enable a real business.

Then again, I am a worrier. More so of late.

So really, would any partner/buyer have to dig deep? Considering the situation that we’ve been plunged into already, largely from our own hand. Or am I being unfair?

I am trying to look ahead, but the concern is there. The inflection points and value drivers need to kick in this year and soon. PFS to hopefully set the ball rolling. How Kurt can translate progress into acknowledgement by the market is the top priority, I feel, but he hasn’t managed to do this yet. In spite of the prospects at Kallak already proven to be more than just potential, but something real and workable.

I don’t know. Undertaking the PFS and having the Sami appeal rejected will help, but I’m not sure to what extent these positives will transfer to sp and market cap. How Kurt relays the news is paramount to having a good market reaction, and if he can’t improve in this area, give more precise details of timescales, for example, maybe increase frequency of news to show real business momentum (considering we have three projects), then perhaps he could consider having Ulla or the Chairman also conveying the RNS news. Mix it up a little. We must keep away from RNS releases with what ifs, or partial information, generalities that only promote more uncertainty, which is also indicative of rushing out the news. Being more accurate and specific will give a clearer picture. As an example, Finland is still quite the mystery. Only upon seeing the last video Q&A did I realise the plan is to bring that project online also by 2026, to coincide with our Kal timescale.

Unless I’ve missed this info via RNS previously. So while Finland appears to be a drifting project, really it seems it actually might not be. Lol.

Better communication from the management team, stronger negotiation. Both a must.

Jonny, yes, certainly the current situation re the sp and market cap is extremely dire. In my view Kurt has to now make real progress with this money raised and focus on market drivers. The PFS on Kal will help. As should an economic discovery in Kosovo, but that’s obviously best case. If nothing emerges there this year then he could also consider closing that project for now and focusing on Kal. It is not a necessity that money should be spent with continued vigour in Kosovo. Developing KS and extending the mining life of Kal is the top priority now that we have secured the concession for KN. I’m trusting that he has his priorities right, and I reckon he does.

Whether he can convince the market that the company has fundamentally changed for the better with the granting of the concession though, still remains to be seen. Notably however, this will be the very first time we’ve had decent money behind us alongside a mining concession. We also know there will definitely be work at Kal this year, and also the submission of our environmental permit application, the latter aided by the excellent work undertaken already on the concession application.

So I’m trusting the funds raised will enable us to gain momentum this year, and, as Kurt has pointed out, the nine year wait for the concession took away some of the energy from BEM, so now that hurdle is overcome (taking into account appeal quash) and with cash in the bank, we surely must have a better chance of regaining some sort of momentum. This is new territory, in my opinion.

I’m far from happy at the moment, but trying to look ahead.

I’m taking a back seat for a while, but in reply to your post, no, it was an example, as in, if you said to PrimaryBid that you happened to have so many shares in an ii account, let’s say, what evidence would you need to provide. Kind of thing. Sooz has answered how PB goes about it though, they email you to ask for proof. Screen shot ok etc.

At the time of writing my post I didn’t know what PB would need, but presumed they wouldn’t just take your word that you were an existing shareholder.

Hi all. Many thanks for your kindness and support. I’m really overwhelmed by it, very much appreciated.

I do feel the same as many of you about this investment at present. I don’t believe Kurt was well prepared for BEM receiving the mining concession. We should not be in the situation where we are giving away shares for 2.06p. The worry for me is the 46% discount. I’ve no idea whether Kurt was bullied into it or worse than that, thought it was a great idea. Worse still, if his only consideration was securing the funding, at any cost.

So far, there have been no inflection points, and the potential re-rating for us, that Kurt mentioned the concession could bring, has turned out to be the polar opposite. I don’t feel we can simply look to the Sami objection as keeping a lid on a re-rate. We’ve talked about the lack of specific timescales for Kosovo and Finland, with loose timelines for Kallak, production quoted as targeted for 2026, but with that, there is no breakdown of how it will be achieved and/or details of each stage required, or the timings for each stage to be negotiated.

So the lack of clarity on all projects really keeps the carrot dangling for us, because we are in the dark just enough to not be able to plan our own exit/entrance points from the investment.

We are really though, optimistically, only trusting Kurt is terrible at relaying more specific information, that he does know what he’s doing, but the evidence of the latter is what I’d like to see more of. The sp is struggling, in my opinion, because he is failing to transfer the promise and results from our projects into information that the market can appreciate.

Progress appears slow, without set targets in terms of time, especially in Finland and Kosovo, where it is difficult, for me anyway, to ascertain just what might happen next, or when. Meanwhile, a sizeable chunk of funds are being directed to Vardar, without the transparency of exactly how those monies are being spent, and it’s a bottomless pit of help we are continuing to supply for that company.

I do feel we should expect this year to have great news then from Kosovo, or really, we are just wasting time and money that could be put to use at Kallak. To drill KS and expand the JORC mineable resource.

Anyway, I’m taking a back seat for a while and waiting for the PFS news. I wish you all well.
