Hi lb. We don't need legal action, in my opinion, only for the Swedes to know that it could be taken. Kurt has, if I'm correct, mentioned the 'legal' word in his RNS releases, and I feel that sends out the signal adequately, that he is prepared to take such action if the Government doesn't uphold Sweden's laws in this process. It isn't a threat, rather a determination that justice will be served. Rightly pointing to the facts, and also to the lack of any evidence presented that mining and reindeer husbandry can't co-exist.
It remains up to the Swedes then, if they wish to further help along an already sliding rating for investment in our sector in their country.
They are already failing, so perhaps a legal case wouldn't look too clever, the subject matter being in the media now for several years.
Some say that we couldn't afford a challenge. I feel, in view of the importance of the project, the asset quality, potential for revenue and job creation, that Kurt would have no trouble raising the funds to cover legal costs.
But, it won't come to that. Just as long as the Government knows that it could.
In my view.
On we go.
