Well, I suppose just into the new year the Government will have given its input on the Appeal, so maybe we’ll see how we are fixed not long afterwards. By that, I trust two or three months maximum, which will take the Appeal to two years since the concession was granted.

I’m trying not to think about a fundraise before then. 🙈

I’m not sure what they are tweaking re Kallak, because we already have a proven mineable resource of the highest quality. Perhaps it’s to do with optimising extraction methods, I don’t know.

Sailing really close to the wind Sooz, but Kallak is a very large sail. Can we raise it in time before we hit the rocks?

Hi Sooz. Yes, good point re having the decision before we have another mouth to feed, the right top-notch person won’t come cheap. That said, Ed has only had a few months in post, so we have yet to see how he operates when it comes to fundraising. We must prey that he fights hard for his existing shareholders. I’m not suggesting that Kurt didn’t, but a 40% discount on the last fundraise should not have been acceptable to anyone involved with BEM.

The RNS isn’t a great read in terms of our increase in spending, not every day we’ll have to settle with a former CEO though, and if we are to progress well then we’ll have to up the spending further. You know my concerns, same as many folks I would say, insofar as we need this sp up before the next fundraise. Also, no 40% discounts on the then prevailing sp. Some of us are no doubt still reeling from that.

Hi SJ and Sooz. Yes, you both know my position here, unable to buy more and have had to sell a few within the last three months. The dilution remains a huge concern for me because of this, and from memory, I’ve yet to see Ed mention his existing shareholders and that he’s trying to turn things around for us. In other words, we know what the progress should be, but we don’t know whether he will consider us at all when it comes to raising the necessary funding to get there. Whereas I do feel that Kurt did have us in mind and tried his best. Ed may be more ruthless in all areas, including with us shareholders when it comes to the Company’s goals. I must say that the lack of a proper introduction from him once he’d taken up the post leads me to believe he’s one to keep his distance, and I personally don’t like that.

These are only my thoughts. I’m not sure whether I can trust him to do right for existing holders who have supported BEM throughout this ridiculous decade. He hasn’t experienced the ups and downs, nor has he been in a position to have appreciated our loyal support and commitment, whereas Kurt lived it all with us.

So I’m on the fence as to how the planned progress will really impact on us, considering our lack of mention by Ed in his interviews and RNS news. I may be wrong, but I’ve yet to get a good vibe from him as far as we are concerned.

But I may just be bonkers, after waiting for so long for this to take off. It’s still a tough ride each day for me.
